Extend the life of your fork seals and shaft by protecting them from mud, dirt, rocks, and other flying debris with Daystar Fork Boots. The Daystar Fork Boots are made from premier poly-vinyl material, which makes them less affected by the elements than rubber boots. The Daystar Fork Boots are easy to install and come with re-usable cable ties that allows for quick removal for cleaning and maintenance. The Daystar Fork Boots will last you a long time.
I love the over all look of them. Thy really cleaned up my 85 arc 250r. I thought I would have trouble getting them on the forks but they slipped right on.
I got the latest ones for my 83 Honda CR480R, but I run them on my 79 CR250R and 79 CR125R all are holding up very well, fitment is good for all of the bikes.
This worked fitted and looks great updated look of my bike i would recommend this to anyone needing them would like to see more parts like this for older bikes
These have good rating online. Received them in and the install was straight forward with no issues. They look and feel just like the originals. I got the red set and they match my red KLR650 perfectly
The bike came with the plastic fork boots, half a dozen to a dozen crumple spots where they got smashed. These new ones are the rubber compound type, and pop right out when smashed in. They look terrific, vent at the bottom (not up the back as the originals did, and fit perfectly. Excellent!
Fit just right on my ATC 250SX. Easy installation. Arrived in a week, just on time. Look Very good on my Trike! If I ever need new fork boots know where to get them!
Acting on the advice of other customers and forum posters, I ordered the "58" series boots - not the "69" series recommended by the machine-specific parts finder. Thanks to those who made that suggestion, as they do fit! On my Gen1 KLR650 the diameter of the new boot at the top is slightly large, which my mechanic easily remedied by cutting a bit less than an inch from the original boot, placing that "adapter" underneath the new boots, and then finishing the installation with the original clamps at the top, and the zip ties at the bottom. The Daystar boots look good and hopefully will be effective and durable.
These boots were easy enough to install, appear to be very durable. The problem is (as one reviewer noted) that the vent holes allow air to escape on compression, but the boot seals too tight around the fork leg to allow air back in when the fork rebounds. The result is that the boot sucks tight to the fork leg-not good. This happens very quickly, and my result was they actually started sucking oil past the fork seal because of the vacuum.
I have these on both a 1979 RM125 and 1988 CR250 that I run in post-vintage MX. They fit great and are of equal or better quality than the original equipment. I did have to take a punch and add extra venting on the ones on the CR250 because of how far down they mount on the lower legs.
These fork boots look great! I'm definitely happy I bought then. They were a little difficult to install, be a lot easier with two people installing them. Once there on they do a great job protecting the shocks, I've put them through a lot of rough terrain the past year and they haven't ripped or broke yet!
Much better than the OEM boots, better looking, better quality, better price! Highly recommend, if I had a negative to say they don't quite fit as good as OEM but no biggie.
I just put some on my TTR 125L. They look great and work well. They were longer than the stock ones but it is no big deal. I just pulled them down further onto the lower fork tube and zip tied it on the 3rd rib from the bottom. Once zip-tied I cut the excess off. I am attaching pictures - they look perfect.
BEST ANSWER:I used them on a Klx400/ drz400. They fit fine, looked great and were on the bike when I sold it. By the way, mine were blue and they really looked good!

BEST ANSWER:I installed from the bottom on an xr250r. I took off the front wheel, brake caliper and slid them up. Wasn’t bad at all, just took a little elbow grease working them up high enough.
