  Cannot recommend for use with pannier racks

  I would NOT recommend for a Gen3 KLR650 with Tusk pannier racks. Might be a decent fit on a narrower bike. If the "over the top" straps were a foot longer, it would fit better, and have some extra length for adjustment, or to be trimmed off by the user. As it is, the bag compression straps are being employed to reach the top straps, which leaves limited usable space in the bags. I will source longer 1 1/2" webbing to replace the OEM top strap webbing. Also, the webbing is quite thin, it slides loose out of the sliders all on it's own. The webbing used to secure the lower part of the bags to the bike, is also very lightweight. It looks like webbing you might expect to find on an ultralight daypack, not motorcycle luggage. Kind of disappointing to tell the truth. We'll see how it holds up. At least it looks nice, so there's that.

  DrySpec Aluminum Bottle Mount

  Rock solid mounting with hose clamps.

  Very sturdy metal mount. I needed to mount them horizontal rather than vertical, so used Dryer Hose Clamps (instead of velcro) to attach 36oz water bottles. They are awesome on some really rough trails so far. See the photos for how they are mounted on the sides of my rear pelican style case. Bike is a KLX 300. The hose clamps are 2-1/2 - 4-1/2 in.   DrySpec Exhaust Heat Shield

  Nicely built and goes on well. Seems to be durable and hasn't bent in the crashes. I haven't tried the bags on it yet but it looks like it will keep them off the pipe by 3/4" or so.
