I was looking for a GPS to use on the dirt roads and trails. After 6 months of watching YouTube and reading reviews and forums, I got the Zumo xt2. I've been using it for about 3 weeks. I bought it to use on my Suzuki dr650 and Yamaha wr250f. My biggest disappointment is that the Zumo only routes on paved roads. No matter what adventure level I set it's always on paved roads. There is no way to set the preferences to avoid paved roads. I called Garmin and they said I should get the Tread 2 for dirt roads and trails. Very disappointed in this for dirt bikes, but it will work great for street bikes.

Glad I had it!
Came in handy when I broke my leg and had to use the SOS button. Glad I had it. After the helicopter rider, the cost of this is nothing! Works great to send texts as well. Links to your phone so sending messages is easy. Must have!

Great way to communicate when in BFE!!
The InReach messenger works great! The app works well too, very clean and intuitive to use. The only thing I wish was different was that it had a phone number that didn't change. It's a slight inconvenience, I have to start the text threads before someone can respond. But other than that complaint the device, app, and service all work very well
