These tie downs work perfect! They definitely feel more stable than the random tie downs most people buy. Perfect bike tie downs! One thing to note: The length of these tie downs is a little short. I've never had a problem and I usually am loading 3 bikes into my truck but I've went to use them to secure something i had to move a short distance and they wouldn't wrap around. But then again, that's not their intended purpose
these are just the best and easiest straps I have found. I load 2 bikes with wheel chocks in the back of my pickup. Lean the bike and pull tight and you are ready to go! They are heavier than building supply store straps and so much better, easily worth the extra money!!
This is the older style. The new style is better and has a larger secure hook that is dipped in black rubber or similar. The price for this older tie down is ok but for five more dollars the newer soft ties are better. The way to know the difference is the newer has black hooks on both ends. Older one such as this one has black hook on one end and aluminum or chrome on the other end.
These straps are a must have for anyone with a KTM that has been frustrated by the lower hooks coming loose as you try to hook the top
Best straps ever! No more hassle of the tie down coming loose from the lower ring as you try to attach the top hook. Built in soft strap too is a bonus. Plus awesome KRM logo. I mean could it even possibly be any better...no way!
THese are nice heavy duty robust straps that I feel comfortable using to secure a big heavy moto for a long trip but easy enough to use for a dirtbike on the weekend. The soft loops and clips make these a much better product for motorcycle tiedowns than the cheap straps you can buy elsewhere.
So I thought buying KTM straps for my KTM was a good idea. It was... but not as good an idea as buying the slightly less expensive, less snooty, Pro Taper straps. The KTM's look cool and the locking lower clip is nice, but the Pro Taper straps are better in that they have a pivoting base that makes properly aligning your straps a breeze.
So, if you must get something orange, these straps are a good value for the price, but the Pro Tapers get 5 stars in my book.
