After way more research than i needed to do I kept coming back to look at the Tusk lineup. If seemed like an excellent price so I took the plunge and purchased them. The quality of the bags was amazing. The rack is pretty awesome and the installation was not that difficult. I highly recommend them.

Tusk parts can't be beat
Every Tusk item I have purchased has been the perfect product for my needs. The fit is perfect, the price is great. Just purchased the Tusk TopRack for my KTM 390 Enduro R and the installation was simple and it looks great. If I need a part and Tusk makes it, I will always go there first.

Riggs for DR 650
July 25 2026. Just installed the touring tail bag on DR 650. Fits very nice. Easy install. I think I will enjoy this storage bag. I added over the top and around the bag cinch strap for extra security since one comment mentioned that his buckles had broken. Easy fix.

Tusk Pannier Racks With Olympus Pannier Bags

Lots done right, several improvements needed
Mostly well thought out and designed, but I'm left with a few complaints. This system really needs one more generation of improvements before I'd call it "great": 1) It's the perfect system to buy if you want to spend much of your vacation buckling, unbuckling and adjusting the ludicrous number of straps on this. We REALLY don't need FOUR different straps (with twice as many buckles) just to close the top flap! We're not expecting this area to be 100% watertight anyway, since we have the waterproof bag inside. This could be a simple foldover with a SINGLE latch and be quite sufficient. It would be very reasonably water RESISTANT, and would eliminate HOURS of hassle. 2) Both the instructions and the video refer to the "three straps" that buckle across the seat to attach the bags to each other. I'm still looking for the third strap, I only got two and I'M GLAD there's no more! Even with two, I had to invent a workaround so that the buckle on the front strap wasn't poking into my wife's butt. See photo - I routed this strap under the seat supports and behind the seat. 3) I won't blame Tusk for this, but I guess the system was designed in 2022 before Kawasaki changed the shape of the rear brake fluid canister. To their credit, they provided hardware and instructions for 2023 and later, to reposition the canister a whole QUARTER INCH to the other side of its bracket. Sounds simple, right? This is one of those operations where you have an obstructed sight path to the fasteners you're working with, and no space to work in anyway. That process took probably a third of the total installation time, about one hour out of three, while I continually dropped parts on the ground and started over. They did so much other stuff RIGHT that it's a shame that these problems remain. Number 1 (straps) is the biggest complaint by far, I think that really needs an update/upgrade.
