Been running these for a few years with the cleaning kit. Never had any issues. If using the kit you really have to squeeze the oil out before installing on your bike.

You can hear how much more air is getting into your motor, even versus an aftermarket air filter. It's weird and takes some getting used to but I definitely noticed an uptick in power. Plus anytime I can bolt cool anodized parts to my bike is a good day. I've been running mine for more than a year, and the filter element has held up well after repeated cleanings and re-oilings.
