Kit arrived quickly, is well-packaged, and appears as advertised. These are now on a spare rear wheel, so I won;t know durability or performance untill I wear out the current tire. I do really like that LocTite is pre-applied.
i replaced the rear stock 43 tooth with a 49 tooth to provide some additional clearance for the swing arm. I used these bolts to replace the stock bolts and I’ve had the sprocket installed for 1500~ miles without any issues. 10/10 would buy again when needed.
Great new hardware for that extra peace of mind when installing sprocket. Went on and stayed on tight after a weekend of riding in the mountains. Can give yourself even more peace of mind and use a sharpie to mark a line from the sprocket to the nut, then you'll know if it's ever backing off.
They work just fine, but i couldnt tell from the picture the heads were torque stars. You need a t-45, i think, and luckily i had one from a project years ago that came with a t-45 as an extra. But my stock bolts were allen heads which is a common tool to come across.
t-45 torque bits are not that common for people to have, and im not a fan of having to use or have special/uncommon tools on my bike just in case im not in my garage and out in the woods without my garage tools. Given the chance someone else might have some common tools on them.
I now most likely wont be able to pull of an emergency rear sprocket change unless someone manages to be carrying a t-45 bit on them.
Have this kit on multiple wheels (Supermoto and Dirtbike) and they are working/holding up perfectly. For the price, you cant really beat em'. Already come with thread-lock on them bolts as well so that's an added bonus :)
I bought this kit due to the fact that the OEM ones were getting worn out...the allen head insert on a few bolts was getting rounded out. This kit is by far way better quality than the one that came with the bike.
These are good replacement bolts. Already have thread lock installed and they are the same as OEM. The nuts are lock nuts with a flange. I re-used the OEM washers as none came with these. Not sure if the flange nuts replace the washer and there were no instructions covering this.
these are pretty high quality fasteners in my opinion. one good feature is the larger hex size, which won't strip or round out as easily as some sprocket bolts with smaller hexes. the locking nuts do get tight as they should.
Do these bolts seat flush or nearly flush into the sprocket? My 19 kx450 has a primary drive rear sprocket with a different bolt kit with protruding round heads that is sticking out slightly. Bolt heads are rubbing a weld on the swing arm and need to be sitting flush with the sprocket.
