First time using ROK straps, and was amazed at how tight these can get and how easy to install they are. Anything tied down correctly by the straps will be held in place very firmly. Big improvement over the bungee net I used to use; however, I will probably still use it for irregular objects.
If you do, they probably won't come back. They're that good. I took a chance on these based on the reviews and couldn't believe how well they worked. I had a 10L dry bag and two Wolfy bottle holders strapped to the back of my GL Mojavi bags. I used these to hold the bottle holders, a hoodie, and my jacket liner to the dry bag. I bounced through some ugly stuff for 400+ miles and they never gave up or loosened. I'll give the bigger pair a try next time, but these will be held tightly.
These things are great. I commute to work and school on my XR650L and these make securing my backpack/tool bag/etc. to my rear rack a breeze. They make it really easy to ride highway miles with a load on your bike without worrying about the load shifting. Super easy to use, and they hold onto your stuff great. Would highly recommend.
These are every bit as good as many have said. The only fault I can think of, a velcro tie on the loose ends to tidy them up once secured would be a nice finish and only be a few cents to apply. I did my own, and it's much better now. As they are, simply tuck the loose ends under the strap or bungie side, and it's all good, no floppiness. I will be buying more.
I rode 1400 miles on dirt from New Mexico to Moab, UT using these to secure a roll bag. It barely moved the whole trip despite the harsh suspension on my DR. They take a minute to get wrapped onto the bike, but once they're where you want them it's a snap to get your gear secured.
Extremely easy to use and fast. Using the strap to tie down your equipment is fast and durable. I use soft bags to take weekend trips and I just throw them over the bike and use 1 strap on each to tie them to the bike. Very durable and excellent value!
Keep those hooked bungies of your bike. These are all you need.
These are excellent. Design is simple and works better than a regular bungee with hooks thatll scratch everything to high heaven plus can be hard on some racks to find a place for them. The bungee parts on these are strong, really strong, and the are extremely versatile. Ill likely buy another set in the future. Only qualm i have is, to me anyways, they are kinda pricey for what they honestly are but they are worth it in the end.
I can see why people love these straps. I picked up a pair when I ordered my Tusk Top rack. These are just straps, right? Well, they are...but they add those few extra features that make strapping your precious cargo down, a bit easier and more secure.
The looped ends, the slight stretch and even the colors (which help to quickly find the ends in what is sometimes a jumble of other straps on your bags) all make these a pleasure to use.
Great straps...never come loose. I tend to stock them so if a buddy does something real nice like help me change a tire on a trail, or gives me some GPX tracks I'll toss him a set. They are a great strap and they disappear when your friends are near by.
I love these and use them all the time. Actually, I ended up buying another set of the bigger ones based on my experience with the smaller set. I leave these in my rear bag all the time just in case I need to carry something too big for the bag. Very easy to use and secure tightly.
I have to admit I doubted these little straps when I installed them on my 1190. They are rapidly becoming my favorite cargo accessory, though! Adjusting them is as simple as a quick tug on the strap end. They release with a pinch of the buckle and your gear is ready to take inside. Woulda given 4 stars, if they were a little wider. (I don't recall the strap width being indicated when I ordered them.) In spite of that minor gripe, I have already bought a second set, and will be buying at least one more set!
I took a 3 day ride with some friends and thought I had everything secured. It turns out I did not consider every possibility and found myself in need of straps I did not have. One guy had an extra set of ROK straps and they were the perfect solution. When I got home I purchased a set for me and they will always be with me.
