The Tusk Billet Aluminum Steering Stem Nut is precision CNC machined from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum for a perfect fit to replace your stock motorcycle steering stem nut. Steering stem nuts are anodized for corrosion resistance and to give your bike that factory look.
Replaces the stock steering stem nut.
Made from CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum.
Anodized colors for corrosion resistance and to give your bike a factory look.
I just love tusk products they are always quality but always a a decent price. This not is such a small simple part but it catches the eye and performs just like the oem part.
Gives the bike a factory look and is way lighter than stock steering nut. You will need a rag to put over it to tighten it. Also a 32mm wrench is recommended.
Another great Tusk product. Gives your bike that factory look, Install is super easy, just need a torque wrench to insure proper tightening. Only bad thing is its not very visible with the bar pad sitting right over top of it. After many rides and washes it still looks like new.
Looks great and fits well, I can't speak for the durability as I've only had a wrench on it one time so far, but I would imagine, as with any nut or bolt, the edges will scratch and wear eventually.
Machine this part was bought for: 2003 HONDA CR250R
Looks good adds bling. When you install this take an old t-shirts and place over nut so your socket doesn't scratch it or mare it. Just gave you guys a good tip there.

BEST ANSWER:I don't believe so, I didn't. You should probably have the bike on a stand with the front wheel off the ground. Tighten the nut until the steering is somewhat tight with no free play in the steering stem. Generally, the handlebars should slowly fall to either side when turned with the wheel elevated. You can tighten it more to minimize head shake if that is a problem. Not too tight.

Torque wrench yes. I'm 48 and 1st bike a 79 yz80. Find the torque value for your bike online. I bought a 2017 KTMEXCF 500 and torque value for it is less than my 08 YZ250F. (Steering stem). Today's fasteners are precise. Back in the day you could torque the heck out of fasteners. Today the break. Good luck! Braaaap.
I dont know the exact torque that's one for your manual.Dont forget to loosen the top triple clamp pinch bolts before putting this on.Tighten the center nut first then the pinch bolts, ride on!
Yes. Refer to your owner's manual for the value. Also, you will need to loosen the pinch bolts on the top triple clamp before you torque the nut and then tighten them back up when you're done.
