Better off with an old fashioned oil can!
Very disappointed in this product. I've tried multiple times on new cables to get this to work. I end up using an oil can and slowly dropping oil down the unattached cable until it runs out the end. Great idea, but it just doesn't work.

    No good
Not useful, leaking without getting the lube into the cable.

Great and simple tool for keeping cables lubed
My older bikes operate better with lubed cables as part of monthly maintenance. This simple set-up works great and takes away the excuses of "labor and time" to get things done right.

Great seal - makes it easy
This little guy seals off one end of the cable, with a hole for the cable lube straw. You squirt it in there and it forces the lube through the cable. Works great!

    Glad I got this
It is inexpensive and got the job done. My cables are now much better lubed and the clutch is much easier to operate. It was a little messy, but nothing a paper towel wouldn't take care off.

    Wouldn’t recommend
The cable luber works alright. Only reason I bought it was because it’s 5$ and I thought it would help. Makes just as much of a mess without using it at all. It does work well for getting lube all through the cable, hence the 3 star. There is other products out there that will work better than this

Didn't come with instructions. How do you use this tool?
    john f on Sep 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Loosen the knob so the device opens up. Pull the cable out as far as you can and run it through the device so the cable
comes out the smaller end. (You'll need to remove the cable from the lever and perch) You basically want the inside of the device to match the cable and the cable housing. Once you have that, tighten it down. Then, on the same side as the opening along the long side (not the ends) there is a small hole the same size as the tube from your can of lube. Insert the tube into the hole and hold it higher than the rest of the cable and spray slowly so the lube runs down the cable. Hope this helps! Good luck.
