Tusk Comp Clutch Kit
Works great and significantly cheaper than KTM parts. We'll see about longevity but I like it so far

These work well
This works great in my 2011 CRF450R. You have to remove the spring seat and judder spring just like the RMATVMC Clutch replacement video said. Very positive feel from the clutch.

Great clutch, even better experience with Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.
This was purchased to replace a stock clutch. I am very happy with the decision to upgrade to the tusk comp clutch. It performs flawlessly and with the beefier springs is better suited for the power output of the kx250f. Overall a great purchase and experience with Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.

Perfect Replacement
I recently bought a 2002 Warrior 350 that needed a lot of TLC. The clutch needed to be replaced. I watched the Rocky Mountain "how to" video on YouTube for the Warrior 350 and decided that was the route I was going to go. When I searched the site, they had the kit, and it was cheaper than everywhere else I searched. It was a no-brainer to buy it from here. The step by step video made it easy for a first timer like myself. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Strong clutch kit at a great price.
This is a strong clutch kit at a great price. I installed this clutch on my highly modified LTR450 that is putting out 55hp+. It is holding up very well.

Can't Beat It
Used this to replace the clutch in my KTM 250 EXC. I actually prefer the feel over stock. Can't fully speak for durability yet, but faired well over a hard weekend of trail riding.

Not to mention...this kit is less than half the cost of a factory KTM clutch pack. At this price, you can even keep a spare on hand with you in the truck. Assuming the durability is there, I'm going to run this clutch in all of my bikes from now on...

I love Tusk products, they keep the sport affordable for regular people.

does this kit replace the judder spring on my 2011 honda crf450r clutch?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm not 100% sure for your CRF but on my RMZ250 it still used the judder spring.

Either way I highly recommend this kit as my RMZ went from really bad clutch fade(lots of slack when hot) with stock plates to no fade at all. The Kevlar fiber plates really disapate the heat.

Hope this response was helpful.
For a 2015 CRF450r, Do I still use the Judder Spring?
Eric G on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, the judder springs need to be removed.
Are the heavy duty springs harder to pull in (more fatigue on race day)?
TG on Mar 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have these springs in my RMZ 250. The additional pull at the lever was not noticeable, but the clutch was more crisp. My son has a set in his YZ85 and he said he couldn't tell the difference.
what order are the clutch plates for the tusk competiton clutch for my 07 crf450r?
A shopper on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: you put in a fiber plate first then a steel plate back and forth then ending with a fiber plate make sure pressure plate has all the stuff behind it i almost forgot my washer... make sure it fits smooth i soaked my fiber plates in oil before hand
Will this clutch hold up to high temperatures?
Tom K on Sep 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I haven’t had any issues with mine. I put it in YFZ450. I have modified the engine. We ride hard and approximately 200 miles a weekend. Use a high quality oil and you should be fine.
Will this clutch hold up to my turbo crf450r running 105 hp?
Ryan R on Nov 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Honestly probably not you talking about an amazing kit for a stock or mildlly modded bike and I love this kit but 105hp is going to need a lot more to last I would look into a barnett basket and pressure plate and a hydraulic clutch kit if it's not stock I'm not positive on the new Honda 450 but I would go hydro and up the pressure with Kevlar fractions and some heavy steels

Hope this helps
Is there any down side of a slow trail rider using the competition clutch vs the standard?
Jeffrey W on Jul 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't see any reason why not. They're just a better, stronger kit
Does this kit come with a clutch cover gasket?
Jesse L on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. This clutch kit does not come with a gasket, so you will need to order an OEM or Tusk gasket. The OEM gasket has a bead of silicone at the coolant port, whereas the Tusk gasket does not. I don't believe it makes a difference. Just be sure to carefully clean the gasket surfaces thoroughly of paper, without gouging the metal with your scraping tool. Coat the perimeter surfaces of your new gasket with oil so that it comes off easier next time. I avoid reusing this particular paper gasket because I want to make sure the coolant port is sealed off with a new uncompressed gasket. Lightly and gradually snug your case bolts in a circular pattern. Carefully torque to 7 ft lbs (84 in lbs) in a circular pattern, around a couple times while the case settles and the gasket compresses.
Do these springs come with bolts?
A shopper on Apr 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No they do not. You just use your stock bolts
Can you run full Synthetic oil with tusk comp clutch kits?
Frank J on Apr 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have run both reg and synthetic without an issue. In fullsize and our small bikes
will it fit the stock clutch basket on a 2004 honda trx 300ex?
A shopper on Mar 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes this will fit fine in your stock clutch basket as long as the basket is in good shape. Make sure that you inspect your clutch basket for any damage, then make sure install your new clutch plates and fibers in the order they were removed and refer to your shop manual for torque specifications. (Good product).
Are the plates steel or aluminum?
A shopper on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Steel. This kit is a great buy! They’re holding up great and will withstand a lot of abuse.
I bought this kit for a DRZ400S I was wondering since it didn't come with those flat Springs on the inside that the friction plate with the bigger inner diameter goes around do I remove those Springs or can I reuse them because this kit did not come with them??
Timothy D on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used the heavys on my drz but it only makes the clutch alittle stiffer which i was looking for if you like how it feels already resuse the stock springs no problem
How will this clutch perform on an 08 crf150r with a stock or Wiseco clutch basket. is there any additional parts to consider for the best clutch performance?
maurisa h on Jul 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use these crutches in my 250 and my 450 one has the Henson baskets and the other one is stock. These clutches work great reason I use them as they are more economical because I am notoriously hard on clutches. I've never been disappointed with one of these
Are all friction disks the same for the 07 crf450r tusk competiton clutch kit?
blake t on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure on that exact bike but I have ordered this kit for two different bikes and one had different sized plates and one didn't and I have always received the correct ones.
Does this clutch kit come with new jutter springs and friction plate to accommodate for jutter springs?
Jeremy M on Jun 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If your referring to the washer and chatter spacers that go against the clutch hub? No those are sold separate through oem parts
So I just bought this kit and I’m wondering if theirs any certain way the fibers should go, also I would think that the dimples in the steel plates would face out correct?
Todd D on Feb 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: One way to tell which plate goes on first is the number of each. If there are six fibers and five steels you start and finish with a fiber. As far as the dimples, the dimples always go against a fiber. Not all kits have dimples. The springs are straight forward. Just don’t mix the old and new. These springs don’t really increase lever pull too much, but the clutch will work more crisply.
Do I need the judder spring for my 2001 Yamaha raptor 660r?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: no with all aftermarket clutches you do not need that spring.
