The D-Flex Pro Handguard Bar clamps are specifically designed to fit most handlebar brands and bends. The "U" shape extension allows for plenty of room for your cables while providing great strength in case of a crash. When in need of parts or accessories for your Dirt Bike, ATV or UTV think Tusk!!
Picked these up with the Tuck D Flex hand guards and they were a perfect fit for my bars. Drop the bike a lot on technical bits, pushing my skills and they are super durable and have held up admirablly. Couldn't be happier!
Most Economical Way to Protect Your Controls and Fingers
I think the Tusk bark busters (not sure what they are actually called) are the best value for protecting you investment. Safe your fingers, handle bars and controls for a few dollars. Well built and easy to install, no bike should be without them.
Didn’t fit my 2018 KTM 500 exc-f with the factory handle bars and controls. Sent pictures of fitment problems. Then was told I couldn’t send back because I mounted them. Not sure how you check fitment without mounting first?
Hand-guards will not fit a stock handlebar for a KLR G2....
First off, this is my first purchase with Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. I ordered the Tusk D-Flex Pro Hand-guards for my 2008 KLR 650, which was recommended by their website. My first test fit, I noticed that these will not work with the KLR handlebars. My first correspondence with customer service was to determine which of their handlebars were these hand-guards designed to fit. I thought no problem, easy fix... nope... after several days of emails and online chatting, they could not tell me and only said that they are universal. I know for a fact that these were designed to fit someones bar to come up with the design. So then I proceeded to request a refund, but I was told that since I installed them there was no refund. I corrected them as I did a test fit and not a full install, but they would not budge. I then was requested to send them pictures of the test fit to see if tech support could help. I sent the pictures showing that they would not work with the stock bars. I was again told that I would have to bend], fabricate cut to make them fit as they were "universal". I kept asking, then why are they listed to fit a KLR G2. I've been doing everything they have asked for 2 weeks and still I can not mount the hand-guards to my KLR G2. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever felt with. I now have to file a dispute with my credit card company over a refund that I should have received, as now it's my only option. I have no problem returning them, I just want my money back so I can buy some that do work on my KLR G2.
Once you figure out your angle it's fairly simple to get them on. I had difficulty tightening up one of the screws on each just due to placement/location, but made it work either way. Don't work incredibly well with a crossbar just due to spacing issues, more an issue with my handlebars though.
You always hear "you get what you pay for", but with Tusk products I feel you get much more for your dollar. I put the Tusk hand guard set on my KLR and have been very happy. They have taken abuse from a few falls and an occasional tree, showing some scratches, but never bending. My hands and levers have always been protected. That's what their for, right? No need for more expensive big name brands. These work great.
Super strong, moderate width that can fit on crowded bars.
Super strong, moderate width that can fit on crowded bars. I use them on my custom, near-the-controls design handguards and they provide a really solid perch to prevent the bars from getting bent in like happens to every Acerbis, Cycra, Moose etc that takes one hard slam to the ground, inevitably interfering with one's levers.
Once again I can't express how awesome it is that tusk makes and offers products. These cost $15 vs $40 and fit and work great. They seem solid and like they'll hold up well enough, especially for being 15 bucks. got the 1 1/8th size had to file the clamps to round them out more to fit but I don't even care for the price I'd file it down every time.
I could not get the clamps to tighten on Twin Wall bars (1 1/8). the other big issue I had is that the length of the mounts (the part that sticks out away from the bar) is too short to clear clutch/ brake levers. I used Cycra mounts that are a good 1/2-3/4 inch longer and worked perfect. I am committed to trying out Tusk products and this is the only issue I have had so far with anything. D Flex hand guards get a 5, they are great!
I was trying to put a beefier bar on my Honda CRF250L Rally (which already has the Tusk handguards attached) and I wanted to make certain that everything fit well together. RMATV makes doing modifications easy!
These clamps came with the Adventure Pro Flex kit. Bought them for a Honda 250L Rally. Stock bars have a cross bar. These clamps are so big that they do not fit well on the bar under the cross bar. Would not recommend these if your bike bar has a cross bar. Unable to get the clamp to line up with the D Flex handguard.
This are thick built and very rugged! I have been surprised how hard a hit these have taken and don’t budge. The angle I set my bars and hand guards at I had to shave 1/16 of an inch off a corner but doesn’t effect them and it may only be because of the bar angle still recommend
I got the 7/8 model. Installed them on the OEM Renthal bars. These seemed a bit tricky to install from the angle of your handle bar, but i was able to do it. You don't need it to be perfect b/c the wrap around bar allows for some adjustment so it work good.
One of the bolts that connects this mount to the actual handguard rattled out. If you’re looking at the picture of this product it’s the bolt that is not near the loop. Is it possible to get a replacement bolt? Thanks
Are the D-Flex PRO clamps compatible with the original D-Flex (Non Pro Version)? The older style 1 1/8" adapter interferes with my clutch line and clutch switch wires. I notice this version has a cut-out to allow for more clearance.
