Makes driving with larger tires so much easier. Should have done this earlier. However the directions suck. Ended up downloading directions for a competitors kit to figure it out

Works great! Took a little while to install.
Overall the power steering kit works great and fits good. There was a little issue with the steering hitting the brake pedal at first so we had to do a little bending to make it work but once those little issues were worked out if works great so far!

EPS for 2012 Razor XP
Good quality product, brackets are perfect (H.D. and correct angles), shafts are top notch, wiring is excellent quality with heat shrink connectors and quality plug connectors.
Two improvements needed: 1) Instructions (pictures were weak)...2) Bolts that hold metal bracket to UTV frame were skimpy - I used larger bolts.

Functionality is great...steering effort reduced alot but still has trail feel... Now - knowing how to install would take me 3 hrs - no cutting corners or good enough approach....but disassembly and cleaning parts while doing it...1st time thru took me a 6 hours by myself...helper would have been great.

Tusk EPS Kit
Tusk power steering kit was a great addition to my RZR 900 XP. So, much easier to steer especially at low speeds. Never realized what I was missing until after I installed the kit, and went for a test run. The only reason I didn’t rate it at 5 Stars, was the mounting bracket was a pain to install, and some of the mounting hardware was a little flimsy.

Installation was not too bad. The thing that took me the longest was routing the wires back to the battery box. Installation was simple. I spent about 3hrs on the installation. I just took my time and made sure that I installed everything the way the installation instructions showed. It can probably be installed in 1.5hrs or less. One thing I had to correct is the screws that mounted the control module were too long. I switch them with the screws that were used to mount the controller bracket to the support brace. On the 2015 Pioneer 500 you do not have to remove the steering wheel.

READ THIS BEFORE INSTALL! (Great product)
Well built add-on, I was very pleased with the fit and finish. However, like others have said, the included instructions are crappy at best. On a Honda Pioneer 500, do not remove the steering wheel, and do not remove the voltage regulator. These steps are useless and unnecessary. Also, bolt the controller bracket to the steering motor bracket before you install the steering motor. It'll save you some grief. Two hour install time.
Bottom line, this was a great addition to the Pioneer, especially for low speed maneuvering. After diligent research, RMATVMC had the best price, and delivery was fast & free!

BEST ANSWER: Yes I think they all can be seen. This one is no exception. I will also tell you that I'm big old man. I'm 6/4 340 lbs and it's got good clearance for your shins. Now I'll tell you I worked with my hands all my life but the machine was a beast in tight quarters but was an instant beauty after install. Hope this helps
Is this power steering unit speed sensitive? I drive my RZR XP down a small section of highway (4-5 miles) to get to trails. I have to drive it 50 MPH+ and I am concerned it would make the steering twitchy at that speed. Any input on how well this unit works at higher speeds?

BEST ANSWER: I did answer a question already. But would like to add. The unit is a good unit overall it does make the steering more sensitive but it performs well at all speeds. But. I don’t know if I put this in the first answer but the directions are garbage Thank goodness for you tube. I would say tusk needs to do a much better job of making directions or have videos available like some of the other manufacturers but it does work well

I have a 2011 ranger 800 xp eps and the factory power steering is shot. this says it will work on there. So will it just replace the factory stuff which will cost over 2000 to replace?

BEST ANSWER: I put the kit I purchased on a 2014 Honda Pioneer, and I had to make adjustments to the splines that went onto the steering box did not fit. It has been working great since then. I got jerked sideways in a cow trail and sagebrush once and it quit working. I have hooked up where the key gives it power. Once I shut the key off and turned it back on it was working again and has worked ever since.
Compared to EZ steer regarding water tight claims how does the tusk system compare?

BEST ANSWER: I don't know about any other system than the tusk system.
But what I can tell you for a fact is that it was well worth the expense.
Drives excellent now.
Also, I love the led light than is there for diagnosis of codes if it ever breaks down.
On a 2015 Honda Pioneer 500, when installing TUSK EPS do I have to remove the Voltage Regulator and Ground wire. If so could you explain why? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: I did remove the ground wire for safty from a short and damaging the solid state componets, I am a master electrian and always remove the power when solid state is involved

BEST ANSWER: No, I did not have to do anything other than install the kit and hook up power wires. I used the solenoid for the winch for my power connections. Kit has worked perfect for 2 years and I run in deep water in the Florida Everglades.

BEST ANSWER: Not sure what UTV you are asking about. I purchased this unit for a Honda Pioneer 500 which does not have factory power steering. Installation was easy and straight forward and works great on my Honda. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Not familiar with Honda 500, but depends on how sturdy the mounting place for the steering box and mount is. Have a Polaris RZR and those items don't move when turning. Check for loose bolts or broken welds in the area you are experiencing the movement.

BEST ANSWER: It has to be on a keyed switch or it’ll always be on and constantly draw power. If that’s not the issue then re-trace all the wiring and check to make sure you have a very good ground.
