cost is for sure a great plus, really appreciate that, but it don't last any longer than a stock one. a spot gets worn into it usually same time and place as it does on an oem pin.If you race or ride a lot. buy several and change out one even before you have to change the pads, your brake pads will usually last a little longer.
I purchased this pin to replace my old worn and grooved oem pin on my bike. I really liked how the tusk pin ditched the Allen head in the pin and made it a 8mm bolt head design. No longer need a flathead screw driver and Allen wrench to change the rear brake pads.
way better than stock, easier to extract, and cheaper.
Easy to remove+ install. The head doesn't recede into the caliper like the stock allens: no more heating or drilling. Wouldn't say they're more rugged, but theyre definitely better to work with and can't beat the price.
The OEM Pin with the plug cap kept seizing no matter how much anti seize I used and how lightly I snugged it. Needing an impact to remove the caliper bolts absolutely sucks. Bought these and was loving life again.
