I had been using No-Toil biodegradable oil & cleaner for a while and wasn't a fan of the oil. It was super tacky and messy to work with. This Twin Air kit is awesome. The oil works great and the cleaner does a great job as well. The best part is its earth friendly.
I used NoToil for about 4 years and it seemed every year I was throwing away 2 or 3 otherwise good Twin Air, Moose, or Uni filters because of the glue letting loose. This was using the GREEN cleaner which is supposed to be "Uni safe". The worst case was a Uni filter that lasted for TWO washing before giving way. There were also issues with the neoprene on the Moose filer lip seeming being glued to the air box lip with the NoToil and tearing upon removal even with lip grease. I don't mind buying two or three new filters a year to keep fresh filters in the rotation but that last set of failures (three filters--two Twin air and the Uni within two washing sessions) was the end of NoToil for me. I've been using Twin Air bio now all season with zero issues. The cleaner isn't quite as aggressive as the NoToil but my filters don't fall apart either. Oiling is also easier because the Twin Air isn't thick like the other so getting a uniform coating is a easy. Just fill the bottom of the Twin Air CLEANING tub (the oiling tube is too small for KTM filters) and you can oil 3-4 filters and be done.
I have used the bio version for over 3 years now. If you follow the directions the filter will come clean. I admit, I don't like the spray version at all. If you're in a hurry, add a little simple green and/or Oxy clean to boost the cleaner. ALWAYS rinse the filter out very well and let it dry. That is were a lot of problems originate when time to oil the filter. The chemicals are safe to use bare handed if you want. I prefer gloves to dip and squeeze out the oil so I don't stick to everything. Great product never had dirt in the boot and never failed yet after 130 hours on the bike.
I've used No Toil for years, but I didn't like the fact it's so thin. Twin Air Bio is thicker and probably offers a little more protection. But cleaning them is too much of a chore. I have the Twin Air bucket, and followed the directions, but the filter just don't come clean easily. I use WAY too much of the cleaning product to do a decent job.
