used needle nose pliers for ages until I had one fly off and get me. Figured I would give this a shot and immediately regret not buying one of these ages ago. Makes the job painless and simple. End up using these on every spring on a bike and not just exhaust springs. Makes centrifugal clutch spring removal and install a breeze
