  • Tusk Top End Gasket Kit

    Frederick in OH

Doesn't leak, fixed headgasket issue, Good product.

This was for my 2005 CRF450R. The gasket quality seemed very good they are TS16949 or IATF 16949 so they do have quality audits which is reassuring. They fit my bike without any problems and it's been about 3 hours and no leaks. My headgasket failed which is the reason I needed this kit and this seems to have fixed my problem. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to install new gaskets in their bike, I don't think that you would have any issues with quality of this product and I would highly recommend this to anyone doing a rebuild or replacing some failed gaskets. My only advice to anyone using these products is that this product is only as good as the prepwork you do will allow! The surface must be clean and free of defects like gouges or deep knicks or this product will not work as intended and you will not get a good seal.

  • Wiseco Piston Kit

    Frederick in OH

Installed, broke in and no problems!

This is the first rebuild I've done to a 4 stroke and other than getting everything in time and moving the head out of the way it wasn't that hard. Everything fit just fine and assembled no problem. Bike has noticeably higher compression when kicking and sounds a little deeper (probably because the old rings were pretty worn. I heat cycled once for around 3 mins. then shutoff and restarted rode lightly around the block in 2nd not really getting on it hard, then let it cool. Then took it for another light 2nd gear ride and let it cool completely. After that rode as usual and everything seems very good. I recommend taking your time with this measuring your cylinder and making sure your valves are good and you shouldn't have any problems and this in my opinion is not as hard as people make it out to be. Also I used Rocky Mountain's rebuild video and the actual service manual and it had everything covered and no questions unanswered. Overall I'm happy with the product and would recommend to anyone rebuilding their bike.

  • Tusk Clutch Cover Gasket

    Andrew in MO

    Thin and cheap..look elsewhere.

Used the clutch kit from tusk and had no issues but it wasn’t leaking before and now the whole bottom seam leaks badly. Wasted 2 qts of oil and my time by using this “cheaper and lesser” gasket. Ordered a factory one...
