    MSR Xplorer light gray Pants

    I like the pants! They fit good in the waste, BUT I wish MSR made them for shorter, more stocky people ( 5'8" @ 180#). The shortest inseam for a 34" waste was 32". I'm a 30", if that. The problem with baggy cuffs is they get hung up on foot pegs. And, that's how I crushed my right foot and ankle. I'll probably end up taking them to a tailor and have them shorten the legs a couple inches. It would be better if they were too short than too long. With boots it would be no loss. Another thing that would be nice is if there were a slit with Velcro on the outside, up about 8" to make it easier to slip over riding boots. Snaps are only adjustable within limit's. I haven't used them yet. Still kicking around the shortening idea.

    Rugged pants.

    So far I'm impressed. I've yet to go on a long ride but plan to next week. Quality seems very good, comfort hopefully gets better with a little use. It's pretty warm weather right now and the venting will be appreciated. I look forward to using the pants in cold or wet weather to give them a true test. Rocky Mountain was great in exchanging pants for a bigger size during the order process.

    Decent pants except the leather inner knee.

    The leather inner knee panels rubbed off onto my bikes plastics. Left black smudges where I was gripping the bike. Pretty average pants but if you get them on sale they're worth it.

    Nice gear, easy on the wallet

    Well stitched together, fit true to size, has pockets and intake/exhaust venting... all for a very reasonable price. Material and stitching feel more premium than my other pants, ended up buying a second pair in a different color too.

    GREAT GEAR!

    4 days of fantastic mountainous desert fun at the Oregon Giant Loop Ride last month. Hundreds of riders, multiple hundreds of miles provided GPX runs over true Adventure riding terrain and roads. I wore the MSR Legend pants and jacket everyday, and they performed marvelously, to include surviving, with no damage, a high speed crash in the desert. My body and the MC didn't fare so well, but the Legend gear prevailed flawlessly. Can't recommend it enough. BTW, being able shed the sleeves off the jacket after the early morning chill turned too warm, was wonderful. And the vents on the pants provided perfect air-conditioning circulation.

    Comfortable fit
