From the tracks to the trails and across the streets in between, Bell has always been trusted to protect riders. In 1954, Bell Helmets founder Roy Richter witnessed first-hand the dangers associated with racing. A racer himself, Richter saw the need for some extra protection, and created his first helmet – the “500.” Business expanded from there, and the company quickly took the head-seat at the table for their innovative and revolutionary look at helmet manufacturing. With their unique perspective and insight into the industry, Bell has continued to develop the products that the riders of today need.
Since its beginning, Bell Helmets has always been focused on how to best protect riders of all ages, sizes, and riding preferences. Their helmets address every aspect of the ride – protection, comfort, and performance. One never has to come at the expense of the other, making Bell’s helmets the most well-rounded and inclusive helmets on the market. Their effective designs, intuitive technologies, and industry-leading construction have set the standard for the rest of the industry to match. All Bell Helmets come standard with MIPS and ECE certification, along with durable shells, moisture-wicking liners, and varying internal safety features. Bell Helmets are accessible to varying price points and budgets, making the high-performing helmets affordable for all riders.
Today, Bell Helmets still has the same focus and aspirations. The company remains true to its roots while climbing the ladder of innovation. Their helmets are engineered in the name of safety, for all riders of all riding styles. They’re tried-and-true because they’ve been around long enough to be put through every test and ride. Rider owned and rider trusted, Bell is the leading name in the game when it comes to helmet safety, comfort, and performance.

Great fit and comfort. The ventilation is also very good on this helmet. Price was reduced after I purchased it and RMATV gave me a credit! Talk about great customer service.

Wanted to give information I wish I had available to me. This helmet is very comfortable. I'm coming from a Bell Moto 10 spherical, and Moto 9 MIPS. I would say the fitment is similar to those but better. I wear an XL in Bell, and ordered an XL in 6D. The three things I noticed were different for me were: 1. It was easier to drink from my water straw in the 6d while wearing. I'm not a racer, so I just fish the straw through the face opening. 2. the space 6d made for the coms in the ear area is awesome. I have medium to large ears and they weren't touched at all. The Bell would flatten my ear (not hurting or anything), but the 6d seems to have zero pressure on them. For that I would vote the 6d more comfortable. Lastly, it feels roomier to me on the chin bar than the Bell. I still love my Bell helmets, wish all companies had the magnetic cheek pads, but wanted to help people with info I was looking for. Also the ventilation is more like the moto 9 than the moto 10. FWIW Leatt helmets don't really fit my head, I get hot spots. Hope this can help someone who's thinking about getting a new helmet.

I have had a Bell 9 helmet since 2019 and it has been fantastic. Great fit, great quality, great longevity! The visor is flexible and doesn't die on the first fall and the screws are easy to adjust with your gloves on. The magnets on the cheek pads and the strap are so convenient that those selling points alone make this a great helmet for someone who races every weekend. I may just go back and order another one!
