In Depth
With plenty of protection, reliable waterproofing, and a healthy amount of insulation, the Dainese D-Blizzard D-Dry Jacket is squarely aimed at 2 to 3 season, cold-weather riding when you want a good amount of performance without the hefty price tag of higher tier options like the Ridder D1 or D-Cyclone.
Compared to past models, the new D-Blizzard is updated with heavy fabric reinforcement panels at key impact zones, a D-Dry waterproofing that is now a baked-in laminate for reduced overall weight, and you also get the signature Dainese hard protectors at the shoulder.
Beyond these changes, you’re still looking at a good stable of CE rated armor, indirect zippered venting on the chest and back, and a hefty thermal liner that’s entirely removable for spring and fall.
With Dainese refining the purpose of the jacket, turning it more towards cold weather, they’ve created a reliable and affordable waist length jacket that will work very well for msot relaxed, upright styles of riding.
