The V2 Rohr is right in the middle of Fox’s line of off-road helmets with weight and comfort that’s improved compared to the V1, but without the super-refined, high tech details of Fox’s V3. With that solid level of performance, the V2 works well for riders that want more ergonomics than most entry level helmets can offer but a lighter weight that doesn’t fatigue the neck as much when riding aggressively.
At the base of the V2 there’s a fiberglass shell, and while it comes in the same 3 shell and 4 EPS sizes Fox does with all their helmets, the lightweight materials still make it noticeably lighter than the V1. The EPS liner is still dual-density for progressive injury protection. The comfort lining is still soft and moisture wicking, but to handle more moisture and hot air, the V2 has an extra intake port on the top of the head, making for 10 intake and 4 exhaust vents.
Overall the Fox Racing V2 Helmet is a solid step up from an entry level helmet in terms of features, refinement, and material. So the increase in price is well worth it for most types of riders. And when you take into account the price point along with the materials, graphics, and ventilation, the V2 ends up being one of the best mid-range, off-road helmets available.
Nice light helmet, great graphics, wide eyeport, good if you wear glasses. Runs size small, always wear a medium, wish I had ordered a large. Thought it would break in, has not happened. Might have to buy another helmet if it doesn't get more comfortable.
Great helmet, bought this after having a V1 for a few years. Light weight, very comfortable, and the liner and cheek pads remove very easily. I like that the head liner comes out easier than other helmets, it doesn't have the tabs that go around the edge of the helmet
This helmet is very well passed and seems well made. Have not rode with it on yet. Pretty tight at the beginning the sizes may run a little small but I think it will break in fine. Finish is a flat finish and not gloss. That was a little of a surprise. Also the face opening is huge. That will take some getting use to. The mouth guard is small and seems a little closer to your face than other helmets I've had
So amped I bought this helmet, best bang for the buck. Had friends buy $99 helmets and there is a huge difference that $80 extra can get you. The fit, feel and features are all worth it. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone. I did notice that the helmet is a bit tight, I had to go with a XL when the V1 I borrowed from a friend was a L. Who knows, great helmet! Get it!
great looking helmet. Haven't had to test out it's durability yet (thankfully). It is a bit snug on my cheeks. I normally wear a large, and but had to send back for an XL. The XL still pinches my cheeks a bit but maybe that's because I'm fat. Overall a nice helmet!
Couldn't be happier with the workmanship, quality, and value. Especially through ROCKY MOUNTAIN.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the MATTE FINISH of the HELMET. Looks very COOL! It fits wonderfully and came with a nice HELMET BAG and care instructions. This is my 2nd FOX HELMET and the durability and comfort is top shelf. FOX PRODUCTS are always MY first choice of products.
Finally upgraded my helmet from a HJC to the Fox V2, what a difference! This helmet is lighter and much more comfortable, and at the price point, it is well worth the money. The removable liner is plush and is holding up well after washing it after every ride. The overall design is great from visor to chin guard. In the V2 I wear a size Large where I wore a Medium in the HJC. I should have purchased sooner, very impressed with Fox's quality.
