This new tech allows the visor to make a clean, effortless breakaway during a crash—greatly reducing the chance your visor will catch on the ground and cause further injury.
The MVRS system eliminates all visor screws and instead uses several powerful magnets to attach the visor to the helmet. Fox has proven this attachment system holds up to roost and debris but still reliably releases during a crash. They’ve also increased the sizing options so you get four different shell sizes and four EPS sizes. MVRS (Magnetic Visor Release System)
Traditional visors secure to the helmet using screws. The new Magnetic Visor Release System uses powerful magnets to attach the visor. This Fox-exclusive technology lets the visor stand up against roost but quickly release during a crash—giving MVRS an entirely new approach to managing rotational forces.
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a specialized helmet safety technology that is now being used in the top tier of off road helmets in order to greatly lessen the chances of traumatic brain injury.
By integrating an engineered low-friction layer into the liner of the helmet, MIPS enables a relative sliding motion between the head and the helmet so angular and rotational impact forces are absorbed and deflected.
