Finally a light weight full Gortex riding jacket. We need more options from Klim like this. I do wish it had more ventilation.

I have been using the Malcolm Smith Racing Xplorer jacket and pants over the past year and a half while riding thousands of miles in the Colorado Rockies, Iceland and Norway, and the gear set continues to perform superbly in both cool wet/rainy and dry conditions. Multiple trips to Northern Europe gave this gear a true extended test: long miles, changing temperatures, steady cold rain, wind, gravel roads, and dry touring days. Through all of it, this jacket and pants felt dependable, comfortable, and ready for serious adventure travel. What I liked: •Excellent protection from heavy rain and wind during wet riding days in both Iceland and Northern Norway. •Comfortable enough for very long days in the saddle without feeling stiff or restrictive. •Worked well in dry weather too, with good airflow and easy movement. •Felt durable and confidence-inspiring on both dual sport and adventure riding conditions. •Practical pocket placement and secure closures made the suit easy to live with on a trip. What could be better: •Like most serious adventure gear, it is more substantial than lightweight casual riding apparel. •Riders in very hot climates may want to pay close attention to ventilation needs. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend the MSR Xplorer jacket and pants to riders who want dependable adventure-touring gear for unpredictable weather. This gear has kept me dry when conditions were wet, comfortable when the weather was dry, and protected throughout multiple trips. After riding with this gear in the Rockies, Iceland and Norway, I would buy it again and recommend it with confidence.

So far so good. For me, the vents on the body are mildly effective. Arms are better. 90-100+ the first day i used it. Lots of pockets. I like the snap down collar. I have a long body / short legs, maybe i should have got a XXL (6'2, 235, 30" inseam). I think this will be better for me in cooler weather. All that, considering the price point, i think the Voyager series is a great value. Quality construction, materials and design. Recommend.

It's a very nice jacket, the lining is very soft, and it arrived on time.

Pros- cost, comfortable, lightweight, lot of vents and the removable sleeves are great. Cons- this thing is not waterproof or even close. Water resistant would be a stretch. First use was last weekend on a long trip where it rained a good bit and I was soaked. Very frustrating. Also just order the size you would normally order, I would argue that the size chart is a little off.

Fits great and keeps me warm on cool rides but not as warm as my lined jacket. Would be nice if it had arm vents. The chest pockets vent well when you open them but then you loose your storage in them.
