i bought the pants previously and was very happy with them. The shirt is working great as well. It's not as hot as I thought it would be just looking at it. I have not had a chance to wear it in the real hot weather yet, but I have experienced the cooling effect with a slight breeze after the material gets damp. The best thing I like about the pants and the shirt is how much more comfortable they make my riding pants and jacked feel. The pants don't stick to my legs and the hardness of the armor and seams inside the jacket are smoothed out. I plan to wear these on every ride now.

These work great and are comfortable. I wear these underneath the MSR Jacket/Pant combo. MSR should put sort of grippy material on the outside of the Shirt at the waist band, and the inside of the waistband of the pant so when you tuck the shirt in the pant, the shirt can act as suspenders to help hold the pants up for fat guys.

Great protector
I had to write a review after seeing the 2 star review from someone else. I absolutely love this base layer, it has good airflow and lots of pads on it. I do agree the elbow pads are a bit funky and can be uncomfortable if they're right at the joint, but where they normally sit on me a bit further down they're totally comfortable. I've had this base layer for 8 months now, and even got back from a multi day ride where it was the only thing I was wearing besides being at the camp fire and thought it was very comfortable. I like how slim it is and combines a chest protector with shoulders and elbows and some side padding and all integrated into a neoprene like material that is impressively resilient. It is expensive but I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
