  • Klim Badlands Pro Pants

    Richard in Gloucestershire

    Well made but poor design

I will start off with the good bits, the fit is great, they are very well made and so far very waterproof, but for me ultimately a fail in the design, for a number of reasons. I will say that these are a replacement for my adventure rally pants so there is some comparison but the complaints are I think fair for something costing this much. First the bottom of the pants leg, on the Rally the bottom of the leg had no gusset and could be opened up which made getting full motocross boots on very easy, the overland has a gusset and zip, to get full height boots on you have to haul the whole leg up and over the knee itis a real pain. Second there is little or no protection on the inside of the leg against the bike and on the inside of the pants nothing to prevent abrasion on the buckles. There is no protection at all on the front of the pant leg, if you catch it on something whilst riding there is no extra protection to prevent damage, I have not yet damaged it but there are a number of marks where the pants have been caught and it is I think only a matter of time. the pockets on the pants open forward and while access is good stuff falls out if your not careful and I am still not sure about long term waterproofing of forward facing zips, would be great when sat on the bike but they are in the wrong place and the zip "kinks" so opening them is a no go. The Knee armour is a "nighmare" it just refuses to stay in the right place, constantly gets caught in the top of my boots, never sits over the right place on the knee, and the pocket it sits in is a design disaster, previous versions had a pocket with open top so you slid the armour in, these have a seam across the middle of the pocket so you can insert the armour, when sat on the bike and the pants pull tight this seem sits right across the knee cap and is uncomfortable as hell!!! so much so that I have had to remove it and ride without knee armour in the pants. Klim make the SAME mistakes as every other manufacturer and regardless of size of garment everything is in the same place, so the leather panel that is "supposed" to provide grip against the bike, is POINTLESS as when you have the bigger sizes, and stand up its 3 inches above the seat/bodywork and contacts nothing!!! The quality of the fabric is noticeably lighter than previous versions of klim pants and way lighter than my rally suit, I have only done a few thousand miles but the pants are showing wear that just did not happen with previous versions. These are very costly and for the money I think the design is poor, simple changes would make a big difference, however if you are average height and wear adventure style boots it may not be an issue, but for me a deal breaker. I would not buy these.

    Alan in TX

    Sold me on Rev’it products.

I’ve used these for about a year. This is great pant for 80 to over 100 degree riding. I live in Texas. Very comfortable, cool, and protective. Ton of air. Easy on/off with boots, good adjustability in waste and cuff. Nice cut not baggy or tight. 6’3” 230lb, 35” 36” pant size. Zipper and button is great!

  • REV'IT! Austin Jeans

    Bryan in PA

    Look like normal jeans

Everyone thinks they are normal jeans and do not notice the knee pads. I do wish the legs were a little bit more tapered, a little baggy off the bike. I ordered down one size and they are still big in the waist. I have to wear a belt. Hip pads are hard to find but I still think they will be a little big in the waist. Heavir than a normal jean but I feel more protected. My rear end gets less sore in these also

    Great Value

Bought based on value & reputation. Both items were exceeded! The fit was exactly like I wanted & are very comfortable. Only drawback was the area around the crotch zipper seemed a bit weak. Would definitely recommend & would buy again!

  • Dainese Drake Super Air Tex Pants

    Paul in WA

    Super Air Tex pants

Pretty decent so far, ventilation is good. Cant say much about durability yet. Wish they came with hip pads. I am 6'1", wear a 36 x 32 jean size, and the 56 fit perfectly. I originally paired these with the Super Speed Tex jacket. but the 56 was too small, so I returned for a 58. I would recommend
