Light
Lightest helmet out there. Everything is great. Removing the liner is a little tricky as its easy to break off the shell’s receptacle.

Nice mix of comfort and light weigh
A little heavier than the Mr. Jump, but it looks and feels like it's made of higher quality materials, and for me at least it is much more comfortable. I would buy another.

Suomy Alpha MX
Light and comfortable. Fits slightly small out of the box but padding should ease up after wearing a bit.

Great helmet but not as light as I wanted.
Nice helmet. Great quality little small on sizing so go up one size if you have been wearing American made. Very small outer shell which is great. Very comfortable but small eyeport for the newer large goggles like the Scott prospect they will not even fit in. Not a light helmet as advertised. I needed going with Klim it was much lighter.

Great Helmet
Im writing this review while purchasing a new helmet. I put 2 years of hard international use into this helmet and it held up great. I had a few hard crashes in it and it performed well. I have no quality complaints. It lasted twice as long as my last Airoh. This helmet is super light and has a small shell; two huge benefits in my opinion. The Alpha fits well. I measure at 59cm and a large fit very well. Some goggle brands will contact the helmet and be pushed up on your face. I had an issue with X-Brand goggles doing this. Not a huge problem but something I noticed. I only went through one visor and was able to find a replacement, however, parts are not as readily available for Suomy as other brands. As far as weight and price I feel its the best helmet available. However, when it comes to protection Suomy needs to catch up with the new rotational technology. Im going to switch to a helmet with rotational force protection (think MIPS). If for any reason I cant find one that meets my requirements I will be back in the Alpha. So far its the best helmet I've owned.

I love mine
This is one of the most comfortable helmets I've ever worn, and very lightweight. The visors have been redone and they don't crack as easy now.

Best bang for the Buck....
Over the past 15 years of racing, I've worn Bell, Aria, Fly, 661,HJC, MSR, Shoei....etc. This helmet is my favorite.
Yeah...it's a great looking lid. The fit is perfect. The airflow is really good, and it's super light. Not to mention, it's not crazy expensive. I personally think this helmet is the best bang for the buck.

Love this Helmet
I was looking for a lightweight helmet with good graphics. This helmet met both requirements and then some. Also has emergency release straps for cheek pads. the interior padding is very nice and easy to remove and replace for cleaning. If you are looking for a lightweight high quality helmet you should definitely give this helmet a look.

How much does does it weigh?
A shopper on Aug 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I looked into this for you and this helmet weighs just under 3 lbs. (corrected) The weight will vary slightly depending on what size you purchase.
Any comments on how they fit compared to a Fly 2 Carbon and Fox V3 Mips? I ordered a new new V3 MIPS and it's too small (I have an older V3 and V4 in med and they fit perfectly). I was out of area and found a Fly F2 carbon and it fit well. I would just like something lighter. I am 145 lbs and my V4 starts to feel pretty heavy after a long day, it's also quite bulky, though it's snell rated. I would say I have a more oval head than round or somewhere in the middle. The Bell moto 9 Carbon fits ok but feels more round. Also I run Oakley Crowbar goggles, they are prescription so I would want them to fit as well. I have googled the internet like crazy and not much info. Thanks.
Jeremy S on Nov 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jeremy,

I have not tried the Fly or Fox but the Suomy is VERY light and comfortable. It tends to run a whole size smaller than other brands so if you are a large I would get and XL Suomy. As far as fit goes it fits tighter in the cheeks and face than the Arai I had previously and probably tighter than the Moto 9 also. I havent tried the Moto 9 but I think the Suomy would fit more oval shaped heads better than the Moto 9. I loved everything about the suomy but ended up returning it because It was just little to tight in the face for my head shape.

Thanks

Chad
