Great helmet! Super comfortable. Very light. My only complaints are that there isn’t a flat space to mount my helmet camera, and the padding on the chin strap keeps falling off (I can’t get it to attach to the helmet). OtherwiseIm super happy with it.
I've had this helmet for over a year now, and I love it. It's extremely light, which helps when riding for many hours. It looks great and the finish has held up over time and through many rides, including high winds in sand dunes. Great product!
Helmet is small to sizing. Believe the reviews and order one size larger then the fitment chart tells you. I accurately measured and ordered per sizing chart and the helmet was what I ordered but way to small.
I had my last Soumy for 4 years and just bought a new one a couple months ago. I would not consider buying another helmet. You CANNOT beat the features for the money. The last Suomy I had saved my gourd so many times and never gave up. It's one RM's top 5 list for a reason. I only bought a new one because my old one had a lot of crashes on it. Super light, great aesthetics, very wide field of view. Buy this helmet....order one size larger than usual.
This helmet is lighter than any I've ever picked up, including full carbon fiber stuff. I got it on sale and it was a great price from Rocky Mt. I usually wear a large in Fly, HJC, Speed & Strength, but this helmet ran a little small so I had to go XL and get Large cheek pads. Airflow is best around but it will get pretty nasty inside if you're riding dusty conditions. I can't say how the protection is I've only had a few crashes but nothing involving my helmet.
I bought this helmet expecting to race with it on the next weekend. After purchasing however, I found it fits smaller than expected, so you should go up a size. Also the durability of it was a concern. After taking it out of the box to try it on and deciding it didn't fit, as I set it back into the original box a piece of the visor broke off. I can't imagine what a wreck on my bike would do to it if it broke just setting it back in the box.
I have had this helmet for 2 seasons now and it has held up as good as any other helmet I have ever owned. Its as light as the ultra expensive Airoh helmet, has good air flow, and very comfortable fit. I have taken a pretty hard hit on the helmet and it has no signs of cracks or damage (though I will be retiring it for a new one anyways).
Personally I believe less weight is of huge advantage in a wreck. As we all know an object in motion tends to stay in motion, and the more mass the object has, the harder it is to stop and the greater the impact forces will be.
Great helmet at a reasonable price for a higher piece, will buy another!
Awesome helmet... Super light, great vision, great ventilation, very comfortable.. Had a very bad crash and my head is 100% okay, got right up without any dizziness wasn't light headed or anything. Snapped the visor, but that's typical
If there was a 0 Star rating I would have given this helmet one. Helmet cracked the first time I wore it when I laid my bike down in a corner. I would not recommend this helmet to anybody unless you have a deathwish. I seriously hope Rocky Mountain quits carrying these helmets before somebody gets seriously injured.......stick with a Bell if you're going to spend the money.
