  Great pants, but have some quarks

  Bought these pants for a multi week trip. through rain, shine, hot, cold and mud, these pants never wavered. after several lay downs and down pores where you could barely see 100 yards ahead, these pants stayed water proof no problem. The pockets were great to store an id or credit card while on the road, but I found that most hard things (phone, wallet or knife) didn't sit well on my leg and irritated me. The sizing was true for me, I'm 6' 1" with a waist of 38" inseam of 34". Its not all sunshine an lolly pops with these pants though. The ventilation is not excellent, but it is infinitely better than nothing. The thigh vents on the front when sitting get very little air flow, however when standing they work great. The cuffs fit really well around boots and have no issue over lapping. I did notice that while sitting for longer periods, they tended to ride up above my boot. I wish that there was a zipper down the leg so you didn't have to be all geared up while putting your boots on, but that's minor. The abrasive knee panels while durable are, well abrasive. I'd recommend using some form of tape to cover where your knees hit your tank if you care about your paint. The pants also had a tendency to work themselves down while walking around, even after adjusting the belt line as much as I could. Wish it had belt loops or some alternative to the cinch straps and "ratchet" belt buckle. Overall I'd buy these pants again with no hesitation.

  Not bad

  I actually ordered the black size 38 tall pants and the grey Jacket XXL but they sent two pairs of pants and no jacket. RM eventually (after checking the security cameras) sent me a label to return the grey size 48 regular pants. The pants are a little taller than I thought. I'm 6'4" around 230lbs and the knee pads sit a little low and the pant drag when wearing regular boots (haven't got riding boots yet). It's been extremely warm in Virginia lately and they are warm. The ventilation is there but it is not much to help in high 80s low 90s temperatures. All in all you get what you pay for these days. I paid around 500 for pants and a jacket with protection and some ventilation. No ragrets!!!!

  My favorite product I have bought from Rocky Mountain! These are perfect in every way! I have one over the boot pair and one in the boot pair. Both are of the highest quality. If you need pants and like Klim level quality, you can get these, spend less and know you got more than you paid for!

  Love these pants

  I really like these pants, they are very comfortable, i plan on ordering another pair. A word of caution though they seem to run small for there size, I normally where 36" waist but had to go to the 38" and they fit great.

  Just got these the first of the week. I am in Florida and with the heat and humidity these are great. We had a Florida downpour and got to try them out and was bone dry. The fit is nice and they are not bulky. The only thing I don't like is that the rain liner has to be worn on the inside. I was hoping it would be like the jacket and could be worn either on the inside or outside. The reality is this is a PAIN. I never put my rain gear on before it starts to rain. I'll probably get a pair of rain pants to go over these. A little crazy but I do like the fit and the air flow. I bought these for the TAT. Will return for a long term review after the TAT is done.
