Excellent knee pads for the money
I purchased these knee pads after trying a pair that a friend had, after a year I can say three things:
    1) they protect well and have saved my knees on rocky technical trails
    2) they are comfortable right out of the bag, no rubbing of any kind
    3) I don't even notice I'm wearing them while on the bike.

The only issue I can say I've had is there is minimal airflow, riding late summer in NC left my socks soaked by the middle of the day on trails.

    For Kid
Any safety gear is better than none. Grandkid says they feel good. He is a new rider and will probably be using them a lot.
I have always had good review on Thor products.

They seem well build, the materials are good.

    Great guard for the price
Hard plastic exterior great impact protection. Soft comfortable liner. A little bulky in the boot, works great. Great guard for the price.

I have a couple rides on them now. So as far as durability I can't say. But they fit well and stay put pretty well. This is my first set of knee guards and I didn't know if I would be comfortable with them. For and inexpensive set I think they are a good value for a little more protection. I would recommend them for somebody wanting to try knee guards out for the first time.

    Good product
Good value. Durable and stay in place. Not the protection of a knee brace but good for what it is.

    Nice for skinny legs.
I have scrawny calf muscles and these are tight on me. Not sure what the folks with "real" calf muscles would think....
Seem awful small compared to the other knee guards I've owned over the years. Otherwise they're as good or better regarding protection.

BEST ANSWER: Fits perfect and no issues so far to both kids
Do these interfere with riding boots? Are they designed to be worn with riding boots? If so, does the shin portion go inside the boots?
    Jonathon H on May 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I bought for my son and had him wear with his riding boots and they worked well. Yes, the shin portion should go inside riding boots. They did not interfere. I suppose it may be possible they could interfere if the boot wearer had pretty thick shins and prevent the boot from being cinched. My son did not have this problem. I would recommend them for knee protection. Hope that helps!
How youth are the youth knee pads?? Trying to determine if my 13 yr old can wear the adult size
    Ryan C on Mar 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have three kids that ride. 14, 12, and 10yrs old. Based on our experience, it really comes down to how large your 13 yr old is and what size boots they wear. Full size knee guards are often too big to fit in the smaller boot sizes and still let them buckle properly. I think good advice would be to wait to switch to adult size knee guards until they are in adult size boots. Good luck!
It says sold in pairs. So buying one will get you a set?
    Elmer K on Apr 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, if you purchase a qty of 1 you will get a knee guard for both knees. If you order qty 2 you would get 4 in total.
