These were comfortable, stayed in place, and didn't promote too much arm pump when new. Since they have lost some of their elasticity in the straps, and the external plastic cup has cracked. Keep in mind these have taken hits, so the cracked cup did it's job probably a few times over. I still used them for some rides as they still provide protection. The cup is not cracked all the way through, and there is additional padding underneath that is functional. As to the straps, I simply take the upper strap and loop it over the upper arm shoulder cup strap of my chest protector. Not really an option if you don't have that setup though. These are good for riding in gnarly terrain where you have a lot of hook type plants trying to shread your arms and jersey sleeves. The hard plastic outer does not allow cats claw, branches, etc. anything to hook onto. Elastic could be revised for greater durability, and the plastic could be made of a different plastic mix. I won't be replacing these with the same item, but am not disappointed in their performance due to the amount of hits they have taken. Still looking for the perfect setup.Read All Reviews

I ordered the small/medium ones and they fit pretty well. I can see why so many other reviews mention arm pump though, since the upper arm straps are relatively short. I have average arms for a girl (small for a guy) and the straps are still a little tighter around my lower bicep than I'd like them to be. That said, the lower arm straps are perfect and the guard stays in place nicely. The shape of them is great and the coverage is perfect.Read All Reviews

I like these a lot. They are nice and thin and easily fit under a jersey and I don't really notice them unless they slide down. If I make sure these are really far up my bicep they tend to stay up better. I bought right at the bottom end of the bicept measurement for the largest size since I didn't want them too tight and maybe affecting arm pump by hampering circulation, but if I don't get them just right they can slide down, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It's sort of weird and I haven't 100% figured out what exactly causes them to occasionally slip down. I have gone on long rides where they stay put, and other where they slide down my arm a bit. All-in-all thought, these are much preferred over my hard-plastic elbow pads, Not going back to those.Read All Reviews
