    Great tire for the price.

2012 Super Tenere 1200. Woody's Wheels conversion 21"x17". I have had Pirelli MT90 AT Tires as well as a rear Heidenau K60 on this bike. I wanted to try the 705's as I used 009 Raven Shinko tires on my Triumph Tiger 1050 and the 705's on my 98 Tiger 900 in the past. Observation: the Pirelli tires are almost close cousin to the 705's but cost much more and may have a deeper tread. Conclusion: I prefer the Shinko's they hold to dirt much better last just under the same miles as the MT90. K60? Nice long life but to my they start feeling snotty wet or dry after 3k miles, at 5k I took them off. I prefer grip over long life any day, I blame the center solid strip on the K60's it is like a street tire with hard rubber. I get around 5.5k out of the 705 tire. The front tire should be called Shinko Howlers lots of noise but I use ear plugs after about 500 miles the do calm down a little. Dang good tire can hold a load as well.

    Just bought my second one

Wrapped my first one on my Triumph Tiger 800 XC 6000~ miles ago. I rode it in deep snow, sloppy mud, hard packed dirt roads, rocks, salt flats, and slabbed out thousands of miles and this tire held up to it all. It has thick big nobs and is a softer compound. I expected to get 3000 miles. I rode it all over colorado for 3000 miles and then did a 3000 mile trip to Cali with my bike fully loaded. The Cali trip wore down the center of the tire, but I could easily get another couple thousand miles out of them. I'm putting on another one for the COBDR next week. I'm confident that they'll be the perfect tire for the trip.

I put a set of Shinko 230 on this spring they are out preforming the Dunlop 404 in corning, wet traction, and durability. The only negative thing is steel grating bridges it can get squirrelly! I would buy again!!!

    Actually was for a G650xMoto

I recently found a nail in the rear Shinko Verge on my xMoto.. When I installed the tire they didn't make a Verge 2 in 160/60 17, but I was very happy with the original Verge.. Well, I pulled the nail and while I wasn't overly trusting of a bike tire plug, I tried anyway. I've plugged several tires over the years but this one still had a minor leak that would leave the tire flat again in a couple days.. So, I've installed Verge 2's on my 03' Speed Triple and love them, and since the xMoto already has a Verge 2 on the front, it was time to do the same to the back. I found the Verge 2's to wear great, stick great, and they've give me no reason to not trust them. Good stuff!
