    Underrrated...tires are beast!
Wear on this tire is nonexistent. Run through two rears before I needed to change the front. No slip on the street. Tracking is unbelievable off-road in sand, hard pack and a little mud. New front even saw some snow this year. Big deal to have a tire you can trust under you....not sure I’d put anything but this underrated tire underneath me. And still have money for gas..:-)
Grip and fit on the cheap. Can’t say any reason to run anything else.

    Best value 80/20 tire
I have used only Shinko 705's on both of my VStroms and have only good things to say about them. Consistant performance and wear characteristics.

Good wear, traction and amazing price but steers heavily.
Great wear and surprisingly good off-road traction. I only gave 3 stars because it gave my Super Ténéré heavy, slow feeling steering. If felt like the tire was quite heavy or that I’d fitted too large a size (I didn’t).

    Dual sport tire
All you need for the price if mainly used on road. Last a long time for the price. Would recommend

I’ve got 3500 miles on them now and the front still looks new.

Good tire for V-Strom 650 at great price
I've used Shinko 705s on KLR and V-Strom 650. I've been very pleased with the handling the tires give and they are an excellent value. I only wish they lasted longer. The front tire does naturally last much longer than rear. On my V-Strom, the rear tire has worn out around 5,000 miles. I typically ride with moderately loaded panniers and majority of miles are on highway at 70+.

    2009 KLR 650
After years of resisting I have officially joined the Dark Side and bought a set of Shinko 705's for my KLR. And I like them! They were easy to put on, balanced easily and they handle just as good as the much more expensive tire I had been using for the type of riding I do most. These are excellent tires I am happy with them.

    Great dualsport tire
Like this tire alot. Twice the tread life of stock and very good handling. No humm on the highway. Best surface for this tire is hard pack dirt roads, asphalt , or gravel roads. Not that great in muddy/wet surfaces. Would def recommend.

It’s round. Winter will last 5 more months. I’ll give it a try then.

    Like ‘em so far.
Just had them mounted today, went for a fifty mile ride. Very satisfied so far. Much quieter. The only off road I do is an occasional dirt road, so I think these will suit me just fine.

Is the Shinko 705 Front 120/70R-17 (58H) tube or tubeless?
    Francisco G on Jul 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The specs list it as a tubeless.
    Tube / TubelessTubeless

However, I have thousands of miles of this tire WITH a tube on my BMW F800 GS. Great tire, good price.
Use it mostly for road riding. Some gravel roads, but I don't take my bike on serious off road trails.
How do i select tube type for 90/90r21?
    A shopper on Jun 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is only one choice on the site for a Shinko 705 in that size. Just order it and throw a tube in it. Any tire rated for tubeless, can be used with a tube.
Can i run this on a 1.6 inch rim?
    Jeff T on Sep 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If this is the 90-90 21 tire then yes.
