      SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

      WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

When hiiting the road on your motorcycle for that long journey there's no better brand to trust in motorcycle tires than Dunlop. Dunlop's long term experience in manufacturing street bike motorcycle tires allows them to provide a superior motorcycle tire that you can trust to get you there and back.
    • These radial touring motorcycle tires deliver great mileage and handling for all big radial-shod touring motorcycles.
    • Wear resistance is substantially improved with more even wear characteristics providing increased mileage, plus great traction.
    • The Dunlop Elite 3 motorcycle tire tread pattern provides class-leading wet-pavement performance, even while riding through large puddles of standing water.
    • Special motorcycle tire tread pattern is not affected by rain grooves or steel bridge decks, resulting in less front-end hunting and more consistent feel.
    • The Dunlop Elite 3's sport-derived motorcycle tire profile provides a lively response in turn transitions and a solid feel through turns for confident cornering.

There are plenty of reviews on the tire. First time I purchased from jakewilson, and I am very impressed with them. Free shipping and I got it the next day. I ordered on Wednesday afternoon and received it on Thursday afternoon. Not sure if the day of the week and just being a state away sped up the process but I'm very happy with it. Also the tire is well in date, about six months old. Would gladly do business with again!

    Thank!

The Dunlop E3 250 \ 40 is a great tire. I've used them for years on my M109R. I don't understand how folks get 12 to 15k miles out of them. I barely get 6k. Maybe it's the FL. roads, who knows.

    Out lasts many
I've tried Bridgestone and metzler 210s & 240s and I got 25% better life out of the Dunlop. Only 7500 miles but that's better than the 6000 or less I got out of the others.

    Best tire
I have a self assembled custom chopper. 7 up 5 out, 12" over front forks. For the last 3 years E3 is the only tire I have trusted in the rain, and winter months (25 degree ohio roads). I run about 35psi year round. 1 and 2 up with a passenger. I average 13-16k miles before I wear marks are hit. I was running meztler before and bought dunlop on special. Mezxtlers are good, but the E3 lasts longer, so it was a no brainer to stick with the E3.

    Going the distance.
Since I have switched over to the Dunlop Elite 3 tires for my wing I have gotten 19000 on one set and 20500 on last seasons. I can't think of a better handling tire for the buck. Just put my third set on last week and ready to see where the next 20000 take me.

    2008 GL 1800, tire wear on E3
2 yrs ago on the advice from a Goldwing expert, I installed the Centramatic wheel balancers for GL1800 Honda Gold Wing. The reason was to lengthen the life of my Dunlop E3's, and make the ride a tad smoother (Wings are already smooth, right?).

Anyway, I just had to replace my rear E3 at 12,700 miles due to a cut in the tire from road debris. This is to tell you that I still had an easy 5,000 left on the tire, and the tire/tread looked great. I've been using Dunlops for 25 years on Wings, and the only negative I have to say about the Dunlop E3's is the tire howl in every turn.
