    Great Tank

Comments On Apr 21, 2016:I had bought and IMS tank and tried putting it on the bike and did not like the fit, finish, or hardware at all. I returned and got this Acerbis. WOW. its so much nicer. Fits SO much better, looks better, hardware is solid. Super impressed. I would recommend again! Literally took my less than 20 minutes to put on.

    Poor pump mounting

Comments On Sep 23, 2015:Plastic threads??!!! Really. Otherwise great ergos and strength

Additional Comments On Apr 12, 2016:The pump mounting threads are plastic and easy to strip and don't hold up to the specified torque. Bad form

    MORE FUEL. duh!

Comments On Mar 25, 2016:easy install, I would HIGHLY recommend buying quality FI hose clamps and scrap the supplied ones.
My bike did start running hotter since there is less air flow (trail blazing). So I installed a cooling fan and the one piece tee that cross connects the radiators.
This 4.1 tank does fit with the Emission system & the cooling fan.
The tank feels like the 2.1gal stock one.
    I like it.

Great fit. Better than the IMS tank 3.2gal

Comments On Mar 27, 2016:This tank fits well. Swap the OE tank mounting bracket fuel pump and it bolts right on. The tank has a uniform textured finish. The fairings line up well. I initially purchased the IMS 3.2 gal but the fit was poor. The fairings did not line up even with the additional mounting brackets. It only used one fuel pump tank seal(supplied) vs. the OE and Acerbis 2 o-ring seal. I returned it for this one and am very pleased even though I lost 1/2 gal capacity to the IMS tank.

    4.1 gallons

Comments On Mar 20, 2016:RMC fast shipping as usual. The tank was a simple plug and play replacement. Fit is good, A little weird/fat feeling at first, but that quickly goes away.

    Capacity low by 7.5%

Comments On Mar 02, 2016:I bought a 2.7 gallon tank for a 2009 CRF450R. The tank fits exactly 2.5 gallons filled to the neck. My buddy has the same tank. When he ran out of gas he had a chance to check his capacity as well. Exactly 2.5 gallons. The paperwork says that there is some variation in the size of the tanks due to processing. Two data points say the size is consistent, and low. These should be sold as 2.5 gallon tanks since they seem to be consistently that size. I do not know how well the other brands match their advertised capacity. Since this bike is super thirsty, the extra quart would be nice to have.
Otherwise tank is nice. It fits fine, installed easy, is not overly cumbersome, seems reliable (mine's new, but buddy has had his for several years).

    Extended Range

Comments On Feb 03, 2016:My wife and I ride desert trails. OEM motocross tank just too small. This tank solved the problem. We bought the clear one so easy to see fuel level. Our physical abilities have yet to outlast the tank size. Highly recommended.

    Fits and functions perfectly

Comments On Jan 26, 2016:Wish the capacity was a little more but it's much better than the stock MX tank and doesn't feel and different in the saddle. On a fuel injected YZ450F we get a range of close to 100km or 60 miles during off road rides.

    Awesome capacity for Baja

Comments On Jan 11, 2016:I regulary 200-300 mile days in Baja, and getting 200+ miles per tank is great. I have twice had to siphon gas to help my buddies with 3 gallon tanks. I always run it full, even if I know I won't need it just because I am used to the balance of the bike with a full tank. Plus, it's great knowing I can take any trail I see without worrying about range.
Tank was easy to install. I did have to trim a little off the air filter cover to make it easier to take off, but my Dremmel made a really nice cut.
