Decent quality but feels cheap

Comments On Oct 14, 2014:Material feels pretty weak and cheap. However, I have about 1700 miles on this guide setup and everything is still functional. I had to modify the mounting as the chain was rubbing on the guide from the get-go. Not perfect but will work if you are persistent.

Looks great but not so great fitment

Comments On Apr 24, 2014:Bought this to replace my aging factory slider and guard, mounted it up and looked great but noticed somethings that made me decided to just get another factory guard and slider. The first thing was the slider dosent come with cushion tape like the factory so there will be a gap between the swingarm and slider. In regards to the guard its rough on the chain, you can hear a really loud clunking sound as you spin the back wheel after fitment, unlike factory. The 3rd smaller bolt also snapped when I wrenched it down hand tight. Expected more from Acerbis.

Hard, Noisy, and Wears Quickly

Comments On Mar 15, 2013:This was a complete waste of my money, and I don't think that I have ever been more disappointed in an m/c product. Both the slider and the chain guide are made from very hard material. Maybe the idea was to use a material that would wear longer, but the result was just the opposite. I have approximately 2 hrs of MX riding on this slider and chain guide and they both have significant wear. Also, they are so loud that I kept thinking something was wrong with my bike only to realize it was just the inferior parts that I had just wasted my money on. Lastly, the only positive part was that my chain is getting close to the end of its life so I wasn't too upset about the fact that the hard guide actually wore some material off of the rivets on my chain and rounded them over.

Comments On Feb 09, 2013:I generally find Acerbis products to be good, but this one disappointed me. The bolt sleeve on the lower slider was too small so I had to reuse the sleeve from the OEM slider. The chain guide didnâ??t line up centered with the sprocket, barely touching the inside face. After machining and shimming, getting the guide properly centered, it still made a lot of noise (due to the harder plastic) to the point it sounded like something was wrong with the drive. I ended up reusing my old chain guide for now, and will stick with an OEM guide next time.
