The Alpinestars Durban Gore-Tex Motorcycle Jacket is a waterproof four-season adventure jacket that represents the pinnacle of Astars’ tech touring lineup. When you look at the Durban what you’re getting is a super-technical outer shell based on large panels of polyamide and Superfabrics® as well as a 2 in 1 removable liner that combines both your waterproofing and your insulation for a setup that has you covered year round.

Starting on the outside, the Durban’s base consists of abrasion resistant, high denier ballistic fabrics with designated abrasion zones that are reinforced with absolutely bombproof Superfabric® overlays?a ceramic coated and internally welded material that sheds abrasion. The outer shell also has a ventilation scheme that’s been beefed up from the previous generation with a full-length chest vent that runs parallel to the front zipper, greatly increasing the amount of frontal airflow. Combined with the waterproof pockets, removable sleeves, and lower back cargo pocket, the Durban’s outer shell is a juggernaut even on its own.

Inside the jacket the key standout is a removable liner that combines both Gore-Tex waterproofing/breathability and Outlast thermal technology so you’ll be ready for any season and protected from any weather. Sas-Tec armor at the elbows and shoulders shields you from impacts and can be upgraded with CE armor at both the chest and back as well. Combined with the other nuances Alpinestars builds into this jacket, the Durban Gore-Tex Jacket is an excellent option for all types of adventure and touring riders.
