In Depth
Made for the rider that loves a retro look but demands modern protection, the Dainese Blackjack D-Dry Jacket delivers both in a hip-length, 3-season cold weather, textile jacket. The looks are apparent but what isn’t is the exterior’s D-Synth fabric durability, because it’s more robust and a little heavier duty than you might expect. And it’s a dual-layer laminate construction so the D-Dry waterproof membrane is non-removable and integrated directly into the fabric.
Moving inwards the Blackjack has CE rated protectors?though you’re responsible for the back protector?to mitigate a good deal of impact, and below that you’ll get a nicely done, full-sleeve thermal liner that’s completely removable. Even with the liner out the Blackjack will be a little too warm for hot weather, but when the liner is in and you’re rocking the Blackjack on your classically inspired cruiser or scrambler, you’ll be set for wet and cold conditions during your cruise, commute, or dash across town.
