Coming from cars and 4 cylinder sport bikes I just found these little oil filters to be so cute. Not much to say here though, K&N is a great brand and they do their job.
Make sure you install them the correct way (open end in first) on a WR450F - otherwise you'll have... problems!
These filters are where it’s at. Same price as stock if not cheaper and on the model for my machine they have a socket head which makes For easier removal.
I have bought and used both K&n in my quads and motorcycles. There are more pleats then the other filters and spear to be a better material. I’ll stick with K&N from now on.
I am a long-standing supporter of the brand and their off-road filters perform as I would expect from this quality brand. I've ran them exclusively in my last two bikes and have had zero issues.
Fits mint, both sides are different so you can’t put it in backwards so far works mint I use k&n on my cars it’s approved by me if that holds any weight haha
K & N has never disappointed me. I put there oil filter in my klx 110 pit bike and have went on many rides and my oil is still golden. Really impressed with the longevity of their filters.
Bought two of these filters last year for my Teryx. Recently informed that they were being recalled. What a piss poor process for sending back the items for a refund. IF - I ever do get my money back for the two I sent in I will never use a K&N product again...
It is a very great idea we have used them for ever and never had an issue with them at and at a very reasonable price but i would definitely recommend it
Totly outstanding and perfect consistency love it would highly recommend it love it very great value and would highly recommend rockiemountian atv for all further purchases
I have used these filters exclusively since purchasing my XT225. They a well built and really do an excellent job filtering the oil, they are always dirtier than I expect them to be and the oil is free of particulates. I wish they were a bit cheaper but if I can do an oil change for under $15 using yamalube and a K&N filter I can complain.
The only filter I use on my Polaris Ranger. The hex nut on end of this makes changing the filter much easier. The oil filter on my 800 6x6 is in a tight spot. Highly recommend.
I normally run the Neutron Filters sold here on RM, but the Neutron for my YZ250f was a metal screen type material that I could see through.. this didn't sit well with me. Its on my shelf in emergency back up status. I bought the K&N because of the quality. these are no different than the filters I used run in my KTM RFS, very well made. Wish the price point was better, but at least I only have to buy one in this instance.
These are great filters at a great price! As a mechanic I have been using K&N filters on all makes and models for over 17 years now and never had a problem.
BEST ANSWER:The K&N oil filters are not washable and you probably do not want them to be as why risk contaminates being recycled back into the engine bearing surface at areas.

BEST ANSWER:you might be able to clean and use it. However, it's made out of a paper material and it's meant to be used only one time. If you want a reusable and you need to buy a stainless steel one.

BEST ANSWER:No cap is included. These are just the filters. Cap would be an OEM part assuming the cap you are talking about is the cover that is bolted on to the engine. These work great on our Honda CRF 250R and X

BEST ANSWER:I ordered for my 2013 KX450F and it did not. But if it is required for the Honda it may. I recommend calling the order department and they will be able to tell you for sure. Phil B.

The one I order for my Yamaha doesn't come with an O Ring. I usually buy five or six O Rings from the dealer and keep them around for when I do my oil changes.
BEST ANSWER:K&N designs their filter systems to exceed OEM recommendations. They also have VERY good manufacturing consistency so you can be assured this will be as good or better than the OEM fitment. I dont work for them, but have a long history using their products for racing.
