      SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

      WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

The revolutionary X Sipe Technology of the Michelin Pilot Road 3 maximizes wet traction. Features Two Compound Technology, (2CT)combines tread life and cornering grip. The Michelin Pilot Road 3 technology delivers all-weather performance without compromising tread life or handling.
    • Proven performer in Sport Touring tires.
    • Surpasses the performance of the renowned Michelin Pilot Road 2 tire.
    • Exceptional Durability.
    • Excellent tread life thanks to Michelin's 2ct Dual compound technology.
    • Performance that lasts.
    • Even Wear and life long performance thanks to full-depth Michelin XST sipes.

    Excellent tire
On my third set of PR3 front/Shinko 777 rear for my C10. Getting 11K from the PR3 and ~9K from the Shinko. Great combination for this bike. Steering is light with plenty of traction.

Nothing bad to say about this tire - put one on the boy's bike and my own bike. Trust it at high speeds and handles well.

    Preferred for Sport Riding
I got these tires and was prepared to sacrifice a little feel/performance for better wet weather traction and longevity. Much to my surprise, the Pilot Road 3 tires were more confidence inspiring and predictable than the more sport oriented tires I've tried, like the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT, Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2, and Pirelli Scorpion Trail. Get these and be impressed! Some bikes have cupping issues on the front when you use improper tire pressure, but just be observant. This was supposedly fixed with the road 4.

1000 plus mile days with no issues
I have done 3 seperate 1000 plus mile days with these tires with no issues, including extended periods of time riding in the rain. Great tires.

    What can I say it's a michelin
This review is for both the pilot three and four I like the tires they got decent mileage the turn in was okay on them and they were quiet, my only complaint is the price the tires are ridiculous I got no more miles out of the pilot fours than I did the threes I change both front and rear tires at the same time the pilot three went 7080 miles the fours actually got a little bit less miles, there's other tires out there that actually perform better cost less and comes close to the same mileage and I'm talking about the Pirelli GT Angel .

    Michelin Pilot Road 3
Michelin Pilot Road 3 - Star Performer, Sticky when cold. Handle like a dream, for my money the best tire your money can buy. I ride very hard & lay my Super Motard over as far as it will go so it's nice to be able to trust my tires to grip. Have used them before & won't change until the Pilot Road 4 comes out.

    Great tire
I like the siped tread design. I have about 500 miles on this tire and the ride is great and gives good confidence during cornering and high speed. I'm not seeing any signs of wear yet.

    Great Tire
This is the second set of Michelin Pilot Road 3's on my FJR1300, and I am about to order a third set. I love the way these tires feel, and as others have said, feel very good in the rain. Love these tires. Getting about 9 to 10k miles off of them.

    Excellent Sports Touring Tyre
This is my second set for my BMW F800ST. Nice, progressive turn-in, predictable grip and confidence inspiring in wet weather.

Excellent distance from the rear and very even wear. I push the front pretty hard and as usual, am wearing the edges faster than the centre, but still excellent mileage.
