    Details

The MICHELIN Commander II creates a new standard with regard to durability, yet without making any compromises in terms of wet weather grip, maneuverability or stability. This performance balance provides yet another eloquent illustration of Michelin's research and development philosophy: no performance gain to be achieved on one front to the detriment of another.
    • Rubber compounds provide remarkable wet grip, without compromising durability.
    • Adt (Amplified Density Technology) provides a highly dense more rigid tire casing which helps deliver excellent feedback and handling in all conditions.
    • The square bead-wire package improves casing rigidity, handling and ease of installation.
    • Silica Rain Technology (SRT) which integrates silica into the compound of the tire tread, while the MICHELIN Commander II's tread pattern has been designed to prevent all forms of uneven wear.
    • The exclusive architecture of the MICHELIN Commander II brings both maneuverability and stability. The tire's more rigid, high-density carcass improves maneuverability, while the aramid fiber crown ply of the rear tire enhances resistance and lightness for impeccable stability, even at high speeds.
    • The numerous longitudinal grooves of the tire's tread pattern optimize water dispersal for outstanding wet weather grip.

    best bang for your buck
For the price, the Michelin Commander II is hard to beat. Great value, awesome tread life, and improved handling. The wet traction is still good, but that is the only compromise for all of the other benefits it provides. Love them, because I'd rather be out with my knees in the breeze than standing around swapping out the shoes on my scoot.

Great in corners, ok going strait
Would have gotten 5 stars if they weren't a little off going strait. They seem to want to wonder back and forth a bit. Nothing to be concerned with just an odd sensation but in corners at 65 or 70, a little more when the wife isn't with me they work great. Dont budge even when I'm scrapping floor boards

Installed new tire on my 2011 Road Glide Ultra and road 2300 miles to British Columbia and back. Very pleased with the ride and performance. Seems better than the Dunlops that I have ran. I would definitely recommend.

    Very nice
Heard a lot of good things about this tire and since my last tire was probably 10000 mile over due I went with it. So far so good, it grabs the road way better then my last tires that where brigstone. I have no slipping what so ever in my back end so I would it's a win and way better then my last tire. Will have to see if they last as long as they say.

Also for the price from RM was un-beatable

What does the "81H" relate to?
    A shopper on Dec 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 81 is the load rating, in this case 1019 pounds. H is the speed rating, 130 mph. Very good tire, very high load and speed rating.
My rim is 18 . By 6 3/4 what size tire do I need ¿??
    A shopper on Oct 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You should shop by Year, Make and Model. If you have a custom wheel size, check with the manufacturer of the wheel. Also a lot of info on the web.
will this tire work on the front position of my 2008 royal star venture s....... size is correct but specifies rear position?
    james p on Apr 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The manufacturer will say NO. The tire may fit, but the tread pattern is designed for the rear not the front and as are the internals. The front from my understanding is designed for braking loads while a rear for acceleration loads. Additionally, front and rear tires are designed to work in tandem, the front moving water away from the rear and the rear grabbing traction. I believe it possible, but unwise risking your safety as unlike a car, you only have two wheels for stability in acceleration, breaking and running down the road.
Will it fit 2006 honda vtx 1300r?
    A shopper on Jul 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I installed on a 2010 Harley so i wouldnt know avout on a honda. I like the tire wears well and tracks tho
Will the tire fit on my 2014 triumph thunderbird 1600? I have checked other places and they said it would but with your chart it does not show for my bike
    A shopper on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Your bike calls for a 200/50ZR-17. The Michelin Commander II does not come in that size only thing close is one in 200/55VR-17 which will be 10mm taller tire(50-vs-55 aspect ratio) so it is not an exact fix. But the Metzeler Rear ME880 XXL 200/50ZR-17 would be a fine chose also.
    I have a 240 / 40R 17 on my bike,
    Will the 240/ 40R 18 fit?
    A shopper on Jun 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: That will not. The last number is your rim diameter. This would mean you will have to change your rear rim in order for the tire to work.
