Not good fit on XR400R
I bought this for my street legal 1996 XR400R to have a DOT compliant light. The back of the bulb, right at the terminal connections rubs against the oil cooler line, no matter how you try to adjust it. Rubber straps are a bit of a pain to install, and annoyingly, there's nothing in the paperwork to tell you which unmarked terminals are what. I had to do an internet search to find this information. I think it's a great looking light, and quality is great, not a good fit for XR's with oil coolers on the steering head.

looks sweet.
this looks super cool on older bikes and matches their style. i replaced my bulb with an led. it uses a BA20D bulb which is the only downside. not many options in BA20D size.

Great Value - Great Performance
This has been a great addition to my bike. Been caught out on a trail too many times in the dark. The install was cake and it has performed flawlessly. Minimum mass with maximum light

Charles P on Oct 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Acerbis DHH comes with a 12 volt 35/35 watt headlamp bulb
How does this attach?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It is attached to the upper fork legs by rubber straps. I used the straps that were on the original, non-street legal part.
I just bought this light to wire up on a 2011 yz450f. I am bringing in positive and negative from my EFI.
The light does not come with a harness plug to fit the back of the bulbs. There are 3 leads to each bulb (hi/low beam). Can anyone explain how I should wire this? A diagram would be great.
JAMES H on Jun 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: James, all of our headlights are universal so they are not plug and play. If you flip the headlight around and look at it from the back you will see 3 brass tabs. The far left is the low beam, middle is the high beam and the right side is the ground.

Does this lamp have high beam/low beam light and wiring? If so, is it 35 watts low beam and 70 watts high beam?
Dave on Apr 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I did not wire light up. I installed it on a 2016 YZ 250 F to get through tech inspection at a local enduro. Sorry I couldn't help.
