2005 CRF 450 x JD Jetting Kit
2005 CRF 450x JD Jetting- The kit is very complete and the recommend jetting seems to get you in the ballpark. I started with the 170 main and supplied 45 pilot jet. I already had the ccc modded air box and stock exhaust with modified baffle. I ride in the 0-3000' range and 70-90 degree weather. The pilot still seems a little lean at 3 turns out so I ordered a 48 and 50 pilot jet to try. The 170 main seems a bit rich even with the red needle. Switched to the 165 and throttle is more crisp. It's nice to have a selection of main jets to play around with. Didn't use the orings to modify accelerator pump linkage yet. Wish the jets were original Keihin but the ones supplied work as expected. Would recommend the kit for anyone looking to improve performance on these carbs without just guessing.

17 RMX450Z install
Super easy to install and operate. Air box snorkle removed, exhaust opened. Tps at .62v, throttle stop removed. Runs really well now but still ha e some hesitant hot starting which i will work on over the next few days. Bike use to run lean bit now runs much cooler and has a nice smooth power delivert with no studders in the 1/4 to 1/2 stable hold throttle positions. See pics for mounting, im a jenious with this one.
