What about the retaining ring
2000 KTM 300 EXC, No one has mentioned the retain ring. The instructions do not mention it. I assume you toss it, since the new bearings are wider than stock the ring cannot be used. The spacer is wider than stock by about .083 inches. With no retaining ring on one side what stops the bearings moving in the hub horizontally within that .083 space? I popped the seals on each bearing and found very little grease inside. Recommend greasing them.

All Balls Rear Wheel Bearing Upgrade Kit
Perfect fit. Have lasted one season of casual riding so far. Seems to have lasted longer than the all balls oem replacement size bearing.

Poor fit and short life
I purchased this upgrade kit only hoping that it would give better performance and longer life than stock bearings. I found that the bearings did not fit fully into the hub. This made wheel installation difficult as the seal and spacer would fall off during installation. It was a pain. Once installed, they seemed to work, but only lasted a few months before I need to replace. Now I'm going back to the OEM product.

Good product, easier to maintain than stock
Every time I removed the stock spacers, I would have to beat them out of the hub. These come right out and make for easy cleaning when removing the wheel for whatever reason. They are a bit loose and come out a bit too easy, but if you're expecting it, it's not a big deal.

All Balls Rear Wheel Bearing Upgrade Kit
Great fitment. I like that the bearings are almost double in size. You might want to think about getting a bearing puller tool before you replace bearings.

This product did NOT work for me at all. Fitment wasn't good even though it was stated that it was designed for my OEM hub. I removed the components and returned them and went with another brand (Pivot Works) that worked 100% awesome.

so far, so good
somebody mis-installed the last bearings in this bike so i replaced with this kit. i inspected grease packing prior to installation and it seemed adequate and installation was quick and easy.

axle nut holds torque and the bearings are doing great . previous bearings failed because previous owner or his mech forgot the center sleeve. very important and not complicated to put in

Great replacement kit
Switching the bearings to run on the axle was a good improvement. I have had these kits on two bikes and they have performed well. The great part is being able to only by the bearings and seals when they need to be replaced the next time.
