The A'ME Heated Grips feature micro process technology and internal sensors that give the rider the freedom to easily adjust each grip to any of the six temperature settings with a simple push of a button, with an LED light indicating the setting. This allows for comfortable hand temperatures that reduce fatigue and maintain finger dexterity. All of which improves rider control.
    • A'ME Full Waffle pattern gives grip exceptional feel for comfort and control. Made of a specially formulated Vulcathane™ material compound which produces tacky yet durable surface.
    • A key component with A’ME’s Heated MX Grips is an assortment of interchangeable throttle cable Cams that work in conjunction with the right hand throttle sleeve which will allow the grip to fit most all off-road bikes.
    • A comfortable hand temperature improves blood flow which reduces fatigue and maximizes dexterity and performance.
    • Simple push button, 6-setting temperature adjustment with LED lights.
    • Includes instructions and wiring harness that easily connects to your 12-volt battery (Internal sensors will monitor your battery's power and automatically shut it off if the battery level drops too low).
    • Clamp-On Grips features a glueless design that lasts twice as long and will not twist on the handlebar or throttle, "no safety wire necessary".
    • Weather proof connectors.
    • Made in the USA.

    Great grips,good customer service,bad controllers.
These grips are durable, comfortable and convenient. The controllers have serious design/quality control issues.A'ME has done a great job sending replacement units to solve the problems.I am hoping they will all stay working as our crew has six sets.

Definitely not worth the cost. Hopefully someone else will make some better version soon. Out of the box, they look and feel good. The problem comes with the controller which is complete junk. Also the customer service with A'ME is lacking. I'm still waiting for the manufacturer to send me a new controller since it was broken out of the box. AM'E told me they shipped me a new part when they haven't and I still haven't received a tracking number for the supposed shipment. I guess you can always buy them and then return them once they break. Better yet, buy two pairs, and keep the spare controller with your bike since it will certainly break over time. Good thing they have a warranty program.

Goid heat, not comfortable for long ride
Good at heat but indicator is too subtle between heat settings. Unfortunately not comfortable for long rides and this not going to keep installed year round.

    Timbersled Installation
Installed on my KTM Timbersled conversion. The performance is incredible, grips are comfortable, and easy to install. Can't ride a Timbersled without them!

Great product, would recomend it to anyone!
I really like these heated grips. I have them mounted on a 2001 Suzuki DR650. They heat up real quick, and get reallllllly hot. They have a comparable heat to your typical snowmobile grips. There are a couple minor things that bother me about these grips. Each grip has its own individual power switch, which require two mounting locations. It just takes up space and having a dual sport with a bunch of accessories, and clutters the dashboard. The other concern I have is the throttle cam seems a bit cheap. The plastic material is fairly thin, and seems like it could wear out fairly quick. There was also quite a bit of excess material on the cam that I had to trim off. Other than that these grips are great. They even work with full wrap hand guards.

    returned them
great idea! I love lock-on-grips, but these have a few issues for me.

I returned these for three reasons: 1.) the buttons are hard to push and awkward. why didn't they leave the button on the grip itself like some of the other A'ME models have? 2.) smell! these smell like some cheap rubber tires from Harbor Freight! they are made in the US but when I smell something like that it instantly gives me the impression that corners where cut in order to make the product cheaper. no thanks! 3.) after receiving these and being a bit bothered by my first two points above, I started to think the smart chip inside wasn't such a good idea either. I would rather be in control of whether my grips are on or off. I ended up buying some less expensive grip heaters and wiring them into the running DC system so they only run when the bike runs. :

    These things are hot!
Super easy to install, took about 10 minutes. I wasn't overly thrilled that the grips are individually controlled (so you have two switches) but they look and fit great. I've had heated grips before but not this nice, definitely worth the money. Highly recommend.

Is the diameter of the group surface noticably larger than a standard grip?
    A shopper on Sep 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The grip feels the same as an unheated grip. I ran them on a KTM 450 XCW with a Timbersled conversion last winter and they were awesome. The adjustable heat range worked in every temperature I encountered. They feel no different than a standard grip-could not timbersled without them!
Can the ends be cut out for full wrap hand guards ?
    Scott on Dec 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The grip ends are completely rubber, and they can be cut off or out. I took a new Tusk grip cutter, and twisted it through the end by hand.. I ruined a gasket cutter mandrel by hammering on a grip that was already glued on. The first one cut thru great but once it went through the grip and hit the bar, it chipped the mandrel. I reground it, but learned a lesson. The Tusk grip cutter mandrels are sharp, and the handle threads on. I held the grip in my hand, and twisted the grip cutter right through. It left a nice, clean cut. The embossed line in the grip end is more likely for safety wire, which I will do for extra measure.
Does this setup have seperate left and right heat controls? The AME website suggests there is only one controller for both grips. Are these older models and AME now has a newer model?
    Al J on Nov 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In years past each grip had its own controller , Now to stream line the product and to have a cleaner install look theres only one controller .
Where’s the best place to hook them up on RMZ 450?
    A shopper on Jan 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Look at the manual for the RMZ, there is an 12V connection of the right side under the tank just behind the radiator. It is used to power of the ECM using a remote power source but it puts out 12V+ when the bike is running. I tapped into this to power all my onboard accessories. On my '16 RMZ450 the stator is rated at 70W so you have plenty of available power.
    will these fit a 2017 Husky 501fe?
    Jeff W on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes, I have them on my ktm300xcw 6 days and they work perfectly. They are no thicker then stock and are really nice on those really cold winter rides. enjoy
Can these be use with enduro Engineering hand guards?
    A shopper on Oct 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes they can. I am using them with cycra full wrap handguards.
WITH THE AME CLAMP ON HEATED GRIPS, WILL THE PROVIDED THROTTLE CAMS INSTALL ON 2013 KTM 500 EXC ?
    TERRY B on Oct 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I installed on DRZ 400 with push-pull type throttle and it fit. The cams themselves are a little cheap, not as good quality as OEM, but the grips work great. As for your KTM, as long as you have a push pull throttle, you should be able to get it to work.Hope this helps.
Can these be used with wrap around hand guards? In other words, can the end of the grips be cut off without affecting performance?
    chris h on Dec 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Wrap around hand guards will not work with these heated grips.
Will this work on a 2016 KX450F? I ride a Timbersled and my hands freeze in the winter. From what I've researched, you need a battery to run heated grips. I do have a power and ground I could tap into at my DLC connector, but i don't want to damage my stator or anything by trying to run them without a battery.
    CHASE A on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You don't have to have a battery to run heated grips. If you refer to our Tusk Heated Grip Install video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CijPnfwX2Yc

You can see a diagram at the 5:20 mark that illustrates how to install heated grips on a machine with no battery. The A'ME grips may be different in their wiring connections, but the overall install should be about the same.
