FMF's Gold Series Fatty Moto is one of their most popular pipes because it provides a smooth power band, increases in power all along the curve, and better control regardless of where you are in the power band.

Unusable peaks in power will be leveled out and more power in the lows and mids will be added. The top end doesn't suffer since all the original punch is maintained along with more over-rev. That means more fun all around no matter the type of riding you like.

Why? Because with more usable power you get a better hook up during acceleration and more control while you ride aggressively on dicey terrain.

And with FMF using their Tru-Flo stamping process and signature nickel plated finish, contours are consistent and corrosion is kept at bay throughout the header pipe's steel body.

    Specs:
  • Improved power throughout band
  • Increased over-rev
  • Smooth power delivery
  • Carbon steel body with nickel plating prevents corrosion
  • Tru-Flo stamping process ensures proper contours and fitment
  • Most models include new O-rings
  • Made 100% in the USA

Great top end pipe for KTM 300
Great pipe for added top end for KTM 300. slight loss of power on low end up large bump at top end. Great for fast desert or more moto like conditions.

Excellent pipe at low end and mid range, right where I need positive response while single track riding. Two day delivery was very impressive and appreciated.

Better smoother power than stock
On my 17 KTM 250XC This pipe definitely fills a flat spot in the power band between low and midrange. You may never notice this flat spot until you try this pipe and feel the difference . Bike now pulls much harder and smoother right off the bottom all the way through the RPM range . I run this pipe with the red power valve spring which is an amazing combo. They really complement each other and produce a very seamless smooth power band with no flat spots. I now pull wheelies more effortlessly in an instantaneous fashion without even thinking about it or using the clutch. Pipe is manufactured from a thicker heavier gauge steel. It is more durable than stock but not bulletproof.

The fit and finish of this pipe are excellent. Bolted right on to my ‘18 KTM 250 sx. Noticeably improved low end punch without losing top end. Allows me to carry a taller gear through corners. Don’t be alarmed if the pipe appears to be dented, they are meant to be there.

Is the best exuast for the 2016 kx85 the fatty pipe along with the shorty silencer ?
A shopper on Sep 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Regarding KX85 Fatty (yes, I would recommend the more general Fatty over the Narley). However this also depends on your riding environment (woods or MX and overall needs). If you want more top end (Speed) then consider other, but for general broad improvement mostly bottom to mid range the Fatty is golden, without compromising additional weight. If you want additional durability & slightly more weight than the thicker metal Narley is a comparable solution to the Fatty. Shorty sliencer is icing on the top. Sweet combination!
Dose it come with springs and o rings???
tomi v on Feb 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Does not come with springs and I cannot remember if it comes with new orings but I would order them just to be safe. Definitely no springs were included.
Does this come with new springs and o rings?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm pretty sure the pipe came with a new o-ring but the springs were not included. If you call customer service they are awesome to answer any questions. If anything doesn't work they'll make it right. Best company I've ever dealt with for parts. The local shops can't get your parts as quick.
Does it fit a Kawasaki because Kawasaki pipes are on the left?
ryan T on Oct 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’m not completely sure about one, but when I bought mine it fit like a glove. But it was for a Yamaha
Does this exhaust pipe have the exhaust tip on it or include it?
Payton R on Feb 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This doesn't include the silencer. There are several that FMF makes to specify to your power needs. If your looking for overall power increase, this is a good pipe.
How is the Fatty pipe tuned compared to the stock Husky pipe?
Carl A on Aug 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: On my son's 2016 KTM 150sx it did just as the FMF website stated. We noticed slight "boosting gains throughout the entire power band" and "increased over-rev" compared to the stock pipe. The difference was similar to running a restrictive plugged air filter compared to a clean filter.
im looking for a pipe with the best top end. which do you perfer? i run a cr250r on a racing flat track kart. completely different than how it runs on a bike. thanks!
A shopper on Aug 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I bought this pipe for a 2013 xc KTM. I had a black pro circuit that came from a racer friend. If you can find a pro C I would try that for the top end. I know apples and oranges but it was a world of difference for me.
how many powerbands will this add?
cody l on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: All of them
Is it possible to powder coat this!?
Deven H on Aug 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Maybe the non nickel coated pipe

BEST ANSWER: The FMF fatty pipe and FMF power core 2 silencer woke up my 14 YZ 250. So I'm sure it will help your YZ 85.
I have a 2003 YZ85 with a FMF fatty head pipe and a FMF shorty silencer. It is running like its starving for more fuel. It has not been jetted since we put the pipes on it. What size jets do I need to put on the bike to make it run right? Please help asap my daughter is driving me nuts and she has a race this weekend!!! Thank you!
Lynn B on Oct 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Pop the bottom of the carburetor off the bike and put a larger jet ie a larger hole and larger jet number to give it more gas. Also make sure your running at least 40:1 gas ratio. Use Maxima 927 or Maxima K2 2 cycle oil for better results. Make sure your air filter is clean with a light coat of oil.
What would be a good exhaust system for a 1999 rm 125 for woods?
A shopper on Jun 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: A fatty moto pipe is more for a mid to top end powerband as well as a thinner steel. A gnarly pipe is a better woods pipe if your need better bottom. End power. I've used both pipes and that had been my experience.
Does this pipe come rusted sometimes?
Jacob M on Sep 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The inside will have some rust from manufacturing on most of these.
Hello this fits a 1991 Suzuki rm 80 will it fit a 1991 Suzuki rm 250?
hayden h on Apr 30, 2018

What is with the FMF Gold Series Pipe, "Fatty Moto"
Fits: 2006 YAMAHA YZ125
Part# 1087090099?

There is nothing on FMF website that refers to it as "FMF Gold Series Pipe, "Fatty Moto". Why can't we see the mfr part # to match and know what we are buying?
Derek C on Mar 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Their manufacturer part number is 024049. On their website it is just called Fatty under the two stroke pipes.
