  These pegs replaced old beat up ones on my 89 XR600R. They look trick and definitely provide much more stable, comfortable peg. The grip on my boots is fine. I never had to think about coming off the peg. They mounted up ok with a few concerns. The thickness of the material created a few problems. The stock pivot pin isn't long enough to use a flat washer and barely long enough to allow a cotter pin. It would have been nice had new pins been included on a part this expensive. I drilled out the hole for the cotter pin giving me just enough room for a cotter pin, but no washer. I guess you could just use a bolt and nylock nut or source a pin at a hardware store. I'm glad I got them. Big improvement over stock.

  Built tough. Looks great. Easy to install. Way better than the factory one. The little metal nipples on the brake tip also add a good amount of grip for when your boots are muddy and you're using the rear brake hard.
