These are must for rocky terrain and endure as the stock are so easy to put a rock through. One thing though the Husqvarna TE300 cover had 3 60mm bolts and the Hinson uses 2 60mm and 1 50mm. They stock has a thicker bolt lip than the Hinson. Very important otherwise you will ruin your start motor.
it was cheaper to buy this once and not have to buy a factor one for the third time. does not come with seal just use a factor on and it was a easy install my finish issue is it would be nice if it came in different colors but other that that its a great update for my bike
Fit and Finnish is faultless with this clutch cover by Hinson . First product I've ever fitted that mounts up with very tight tolerances like OEM , highly recommend product.
The OEM oring seal that Yamaha uses for there clutch cover fits nice and snug in the Hinson clutch cover oring grove. Don't forget to order a replacement gasket or oring depending on your machines application as Hinson don't supply one.
The anodised color is more of a charcoal grey then black as advertised but still looks great.
Not sure how hard wearing the anodised finish is yet but I'm told they hold up very well.
Hinson clutch products are second to none. If you are looking for a factory look and really want your bike to look like a race bike than this is the cover you need. Plus quality is very good.
I purchased this due to the fact that my oem clutch cover was made of magnesium and was very soft. The OEM cover has an oil level check bolt that stripped after the first few times I used it. This cover fixed that issue and installed in just a few minutes and fit perfectly. I measure my oil every time I change it so I don't really need a level check bolt.
Awesome/Factory looking and super durable. The stock clutch cover on my bike was worn badly and made my bike look old. This Hinson clutch cover was expensive, but made my bike look really nice! It's held up really well and the anodizing hasn't rubbed or scratched off at all. It also fit perfectly. Just don't forget to order a new gasket/o-ring because it doesn't come with one.
You have to purchase the gasket with this cover. It fits great and has already taken a hit without any damage. bashed the brake pedal into it and only scratched the paint!
Was bought for looks after recent clutch rebuild. With item being hard anodized, it would not be so prone to rubbing away from boots. Looks good and continues to look good after several motos
This cover is so nice. Top of the Line. A bit pricey. Gotta pay to play though. Only thing that should have came with it, but didn't was a clutch cover gasket. Those who purchase, make sure to purchase a gasket.
Machine this part was bought for: 2013 SUZUKI RMZ25
this is the only clutch cover I will use it looks nice comes with a nice filler cap and hardly wares out like other brands. It will look nice for a very long time probably out last the bike for sure.. :)
Machine this part was bought for: 2012 KAWASAKI KX450F
I've ridden probably 20 hours since buying this cover and it still looks as it did the day i installed it, whereas the stock Honda one was scuffed and looked awful after one ride
Machine this part was bought for: 2015 HONDA CRF450R
a little pricey but quality product, perfect fit and has already done it's job, dropped onto lots of rocks and had the brake pedal folded back onto it and no damage, good for peace of mind versus cast versions
BEST ANSWER:That's on the other side of the 04-08 yfz. All stock plugs are used. The clutch cover has been fantastic in the 2 years I have been using it, no leaks, looks good and accommodates the 9 plate mod very well with the proper pressure plate of course. Hope this helps.

No it uses a filler hole plug that is provided, it is a 10mm Chrome Colur Screw type cap that is Hinson branded but is plastic, make sure you font over-torque...
BEST ANSWER:The cover is very much so black! This cover fits great and looks amazing old gasket fit but always recommend putting a new one on with new parts to Insure a tight seal.

On a 2013 rmz250, does it require more oil or the same amount?

BEST ANSWER:I installed mine on a 2010 KX450F and it didn't require any additional amount of oil. Aside from the better construction, it looked to be the same exact size. I have never seen any literature anywhere that stated that more oil would be needed after installing the Hinson cover. Hope that helps!!

I've run this on three of my Kawasaki's. It doesn't require more oil on them. It's the same size as your stock just a different material for better cooling and durability.
Does the Henson clutch cover use the OEM gasket on a 16 Yfz 450r?

BEST ANSWER:Yes Hinson clutch cover uses the oem oring. Rub a very small amount of lithium soap based grease when inserting the oring into the grove on the clutch cover to help it slide into place as its a snug fit. Once oring is in place wipe any remaining grease off the oring that's coming into contact with your casing and nip bolts up little at a time evenly until there snug. Then torque to oem specs.

BEST ANSWER:My son rides at least twice a week (KTM 85SX) and has hardly worn any off. He rides a lot of abrasive sand and rocky tracks so it definitely cops some punishment. The stock didn’t last long before wearing. Awesome clutch cover with great hard finish. You won’t be disappointed.

Depends how hard you are on the bike but i have had one on my 450 for about 9months and only got a little bit of wear on the back edge of it as a result of boots rubbing but still looks just as good as new
BEST ANSWER:If the viewing hole is built into the oem clutch cover, then the Hinson cover would block seeing oil level. If the viewing window is not in the oem cover, then Hinson cover would not block it.

BEST ANSWER:I would assume its in the same place as the stock one, maybe not just in the picture, when you checkout you'll be able to talk with a chat salesperson and they will be able to answer that better, nothing but good things to say about rmatv
Hi Nathan, Thanks for the answer. You're right, the illustration is for a different model bike. Looking at it closer it appears that there is a spring hole on the bottom of that particular model. The disparity of mounting points should have given that away to me in the first place. Not thinking straight lol.
