Not a good replacement for stock
Really doesn't fit well and when installed and snugged down it has lack of motion like stock. Tends to stick in folded position as well. Just get a new lever.

Great looks, quality built easy install, item is a little larger than stock in length, seems it will not be an issue. It did not come with new spring

    KTM Replacement Shift Lever Tip
I agree with another review that this should be a pin and cotter pin setup or long enough for a nut. I put red Loctite on the far end of screw but when pushing the tip back and forth the screw still rotates with the tip. It looks great and is slightly longer than stock and I do like it much more than my old worn tip.

Looks good but that's about it....
Looks good but I expect better design from KTM. They threaded the bottom portion so when u install you can't get it tight or it pinches the shift lever and does not operate correctly. 2 ways to correct this: A- would be to just use a pin and cotter pin to keep it in, B- would be to have threaded the upper part to the screw would bottom out and get tight without putting any pressure on the shift lever. Now if I can figure this out I know a company like KTM can. Pretty disappointed.

    Great replacement for stock tip.
Perfect replacement tip for a worn stock tip. All you need is a vice, drill, small pick or screw driver and maybe a friend to help with the spring. I like replacing the rivet with an allen head bolt. Makes any replacements in the future more user friendly. This is a perfect way to get more bang for your buck if your not into just replacing things to replace them. Fits well, works well, and looks good.

Good option to worn out stocker
Good replacement for worn out stockbpart. Would be nice if it came with replacement spring but was able to bend around on the old one and make it work.

    Shift end
Looks like it's of good quality, unfortunately my shift end is installed using a heavy rivet,so this doesn't work.

Extra length and traction for the shifter
Replaced my really worn out shifter with this unit. Easy to install. No instructions. Remove the shifter from the bike before you install the tip.Just grind off the rivet and tap out the pin with a punch. I added blue Loctite to the supplied screw to prevent it from backing out. DON'T over tighten the screw or the tip won't pivot!

    Noticeable mod
I notice this little thng a lot especially shifting in the rough stuff. You need to be an octopus to get the spring in there but it's worth the struggle.

    Just a little longer!!!
I will be installing it tomorrow and cant wait, I feel that the stock tip is just too short, so its a no brainer that I would get this tip, and the Black color looks pretty trick too. I like the fact that after you grind off the stock tips rivet the new tip is attached with a hex head bolt which I will use a good dab of blue Loctite on. I think this is a better attachment method than the rivet since I wont have to grind a rivet off every time I might want to lake the tip off.

is a replacement spring included ?
    Kevin S on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't remember a spring being included. Besides, the replacement tip works poorly and doesn't last. I would not buy again. In my experience a new Hammerhead lasted about 6-8 months. Seems like the stock KTM shifter lasts longer than after market ones which surprises me. Hope that helps.
    What are the dimensions?
    A shopper on Sep 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Mine measures 48mm from center of mounting hole to the tip of lever. The knurled section itself measures 30mm. I wear a size 12 boot and like it a lot over the stock size tip!
