    loose fit

The ID is oversized. Fits loose on steel or brass 5/16" fittings. On the Tusk 90 degree 5/16 the fit is so loose it leaks even with spring clamps

  • Shindy Carburetor Repair Kit

    William in CA

Beware the CA difference on XR250R carbs.

If you have a 98-04 CA XR250R, it won't run properly using this kit. The main jet on stock carb (PDG1A) for the 49 states is 132, which is what I believe the kit has. A CA carb (PDG1C) is a different model and has a 122 main jet for stock. If you have a CA XR250R this kit will not work as is for the main jet. This is not stated anywhere here I could find, so I had to source a 122 main jet. I gave them one extra star since I didn't know this either until I couldn't get it to run properly.

small ones sized too big for carb vent hoses on Kei...

Disappointed in the size options. The big ones are too big for the fuel line - made the mediums suffice. The small ones aren't small enough for the vent lines - may try to modify them to make them work. The quality seems to be fine.

  • Tusk Carburetor Vent Line

    The little things that matter

Tired of dealing with vent lines on my 2-stroke that were stiff as a 2 x 4 every time I serviced the carburetor. The new ones did fit pretty tight but they did work. Ordered two sets to be safe from earlier reviews and glad I did. I got the red ones it was like hitting two birds with one stone. Its now much easier too route the vent lines where they need to be and it dresses up the engine at the same time.

Beware, does not include mixture screw

2002 Yamaha V-Star 650, Did not come with the mixture adjustment screws as pictured. As such it was more expensive than the OEM parts that the kit does include. Disappointing because I needed the mixture screws to replace damaged ones.
