Details

If you’re dealing with failing belts and high clutch temps on your 2014 XP and XP4 1000, the Polaris High Flow Clutch Intake System is the easy and quick solution that extends belt life by updating the clutch intake to the reworked 2015 design.

Polaris created this kit to specifically address the complaints of 14’ XP and XP4 1000 owners, and as such, it comes with everything you need including detailed instructions and a new drive belt that will replace the previous one (see below for details). Installation is straightforward and fast since the only large change will be adding a new intake port for the vent tube. But after everything is installed, your machine will have an additional air intake that will lower belt temperature and give your machine’s belt a drastically longer life.

Updates 2014 XP 1000 and XP4 1000 clutch air intake to the cooler 2015 design
Adds an additional air intake to your clutch to help cool belts
Drastically lowers belt temperatures
Greatly extends belt service life and lowers occurrence of belt failures

Happy with purchase

I'm happy with any investment to help cool the clutch and belt. Without a gauge to monitor the heat before and after the install it appears to be doing its job based on the concept. Install was easy. The delivery arrived on time and was in excellent condition.

If you own a 2014 rzr 1000 its a must have.

Was blowing belts every 300-400 miles,
30 minute install, just need a 2-3/4" hole saw
and basic hand tools. Belt and cover stay nice and cool
haven't had an issue since installing.

The need to lower temperature in the primary and secondary clutch compartment for my 2014 polariis ranger rzr xp 1000 was needed to save on the life of the belt and overall performance of the ride, this installation was easy and a great overall improvement.

I wasn't aware that you needed to run a different belt. I have been using my original one and use the one that came with the intake as a spare if case my first one breaks. I have no complaints about the intake and it is really easy to install as long as you have a hole saw.

Does this come with new hardware and seal for new clutch cover?

It does not have the seal for around the new cover, you have to use your existing seal and cover screws. You also need a hole saw to drill the bed to install the new air inlet. The instructions have a template for the new hole. I installed this kit to mine then read on the RZR forum that Polaris was installing them for free at one time.

Is it absolutely necessary to replace the belt or can I run my old belt?

You can use any belt with the system, however the belt that comes with it is better and seamed to last longer with less slippage from heat.

What size hole saw is needed to install on my 2014 XP4 1000?

The instruction sheet calls out for a 2.75" hole saw. I found this item @ a local Lowes store. This kit will bring your 14 up to 15 standards.
